cubsfaninfla
Question- why did everyone choose the # they did??? I chose mine kind of as a joke because #29 was tied for the most used number for the Cubs and had a lot of worthless crap wearing it. (Andy Pratt,Rey Ordonez, Ben Grieve)
Yankee4Life
Well, I picked #5 because I was going to play CF. Joe Dimaggio played CF for the Yankees and he had #5. But then five wanted #5 and he gave me five good reasons why he wanted #5. So I gave it to him. Then I was going to get #16 for Whitey Ford, because he's a left handed pitcher like me. Finally I got #4 from your suggestion. But, that could change if someone down the line wants #4 for some reason. Then I'll let the forum fanatic have it. five
Question- why did everyone choose the # they did? It was my number during my playing days, 3 sports, 12 teams, 37 years (different seasons), one number.

Yankee4Life
Then what number would you get, #3 for The Bambino, #44 for Mr. October??? If I end up pitching, I'll either get #16 (Ford) or #49 (Ron Guidry). If I play CF, I'll keep #4. But if someone wants that number, I'll try for something else. No big deal.
