Someone Trying To Make Money Off Of Kg'S Roster Update.

I got a little impatient waiting for KG to release his latest PS2 roster update so I saw what was out there, and this is what popped up. http://myworld.ebay.com/dmrosters/ is his ebay page and this is the actual item: http://bit.ly/9A6NyY. I was gullible, and bought this guys update. Come to find out, it's just KG's 7.1 PS2 update with minor changes and CAP's of Strasburg, Chapman, and Starlin Castro. This made me upset as I just payed almost $15 bucks for something I've had since September. I'd have no problem paying for KG's rosters but come on, this is ridiculous. I went ahead and notified KG and left negative feedback on the guy so everyone who tries to buy his update knows it's a copy of something free. How do I know it's KG's? It has the same flaws his PS2 update did. Caucasian Johnny Cueto and color of the gloves for all minor league 1B's is glitchy. Here's hoping this guy's listing gets deleted.

I believe you can post comments on eBay. We could post a statement indicating that the rosters for sale were based upon KG's rosters without his permission and then point to where you can get KG's rosters for free.

Of course not. There's a mod in the works right now that will repair the damage. After we fix that we'll move on to missing people requests.

The admins here could contact Ebay about that auction and tell 'em what's goin' on. That auction would probably disappear by tomorrow if they did that.

Since the douche that started the auction said, " I am the ONLY entity that has rosters updated for the 2010 season with all baseball moves and player edits made. ". All the admins would have to claim is the guy is a fraud.

Also, I sent you a PM about it. My PM went un-responded to. If you had something to say about it, why not do it there, instead of in the public forum? Perhaps because you want the chance to whine and hope someone, somewhere will come along and defend you, like some sort of internet white knight? It's funny how, when given the opportunity to deal with me directly in PM, I'm ignored, but as soon as the opportunity arises to throw dirt in public, it's jumped on, even in a totally unrelated thread. Take the first chance you get Mike, it might be the only one for a while!

As for this issue, it looks like you've been addressed already. This is MVPMods. You break a rule here, we, as staff, have the ability to fix it. If someone does something wrong, either morally, legally or anything else, on another website, such as eBay, we can write and make noise about it, but eBay are under no obligation to change anything, and we can't do a damn thing about it because we don't control their website. If getting things done on the internet was really that easy, do you honestly think there would be even half as many websites in existence right now? No racist websites, no porn sites, no gore sites - the internet would be full of good-natured, wholesome, state approved fun. If you could really just send an e-mail to a website and say "Hey, I don't like this content you're hosting, take it off", would there be any websites left? It's not that easy, and I'm damn thankful for it. You should be too, given the nature of your business. Or, of course, if you're not, just say so and I'll speak to the priest at a local church and tell him to just write a letter to you, requesting the removal of any and all content he finds objectionable.

Hey guys, been a while since Ive been on here. Tried to figure out where the rosters were on eBay because I was going to buy and now I see they arent there. I checked gamefaqs, where I post a bit more than here and couldnt find anything. Then I came over here and saw this thread. Honestly I buy every year and while they may be KGs rosters from some point (seems), I still buy them once or twice a year because they are updated all the time, especially at the trade deadline. KG probably doesnt want to keep up with the rosters all year long. Someone has to do it. I dont think its that big a deal because its a whole seasons worth of edits, not just a handful of moves. Everyone complains about not having new rosters, it takes a lot of work to keep up, I cant do it. And the 'bonus' rosters are pretty unique also with the historic players- are those anyones rosters? Couldnt find them online. Someone has to do it, we should just get the rosters and be thankful. Now I cant buy them because apparently they have been removed from ebay.

On the other hand, milkman has rosters on gamefaqs and they are free. Ill play them in the meantime. :)
