Goldensuitcase
Who can we count on here to deliver a good roster with all the correct players for each team without doing any real changes to players abilities? In fact, who here plans on doing changes and what kind of changes? Thanks

jpup
I agree - I'm counting on Jpup as well! and carter will be joining up with me...right carter? It shouldn't take as long as it did last year with both of us working on them. I also, don't have the busy schedule like G did last year. I know a lot of people are depending on me to come through and I plan on doing just that. The only thing that would stop me is.....well i can't say it, but you know what I mean. I also think that MLB 2006 is looking really good too. I just want everyone to know that I am depending on your help and patience.
NY_Yankees
I'd like to see the rosters as well, but I also agree with the first post. I'd like to see the ratings that EA gave the players remain as is.

Yes, but some players, like Brad Lidge last year, were vastly underrated in the game (Lidge is one of the best relievers in the game). So, I would like the players who have played a lot last year with ea's stats, but for players like Dallas McPherson, who is going to have horrible stats in MVP Baseball 2005, I would like to see more "realistic" stats

About MLB 2006, you're completely right... that game is looking really, really good. I've already decided what I'm going to do. I'm buying MVP 2005 PC right away (already pre-ordered it), but I'm going to rent both MLB (ESPN) 2k5 and MLB 2006 through GameFly on the same day they are released. This year is shaping up as a very, very interesting one with all these games becoming more mature and more polished.

You for example love McPherson and recognize him for his potential and would give him a rating based on what his potential is and not his actual play. Understand? Of course there are going to be fluke players like and others that get substantially better within a years time. Look at Gagne. You just never know but with the roster set I used last season, each team had over 4 players hitting over .400 after 50 games and thats unrealistic. And this was on MVP level. What I would really like to happen would be McPherson edited using his AAA stats last year for hitting, and a little speed increase, because EA will probably have him with like 40 speed. krawhitham
Will these be in sharkport/Xport format for us PS2 users? If Jpup gives the OK, they can be converted to both Xbox and PS2 this is assuming A Jpup releases a dat roster and B that the rosters are similar to last season (format wise)

D.M.Z.
Here is a suggestion: create a roster edit thread which community members can post information on players that can be incorporated into any roster. this way roster creation can be accelerated and the roster makers can use or dismiss any of the information posted. maybe even sticky the thread. the thread can contain actual rosters, player numbers, attributes, appearance and statistical matters without limiting information to one specific roster. NY_Yankees
I wonder if you can transfer the 04 rosters to 05? That way pretty much all the minor leaguers would be taken care of, if they werent called up at the end of the season. With some stat adjusting, all you'd need to do is make the A players. jpup
if the actual players are already included by EA via baseball america then my job just got a lot easier.

D.M.Z.
Wow, that is impressive that EA will have several prospects that have never played on the mlb level. what happened to the rule last year that required players to have mlb experience and also be in the players association? is this one of the many after effects of the merging and changing this off-season? Kamasutra
now we're talking, wonder why we only heard of this now. Minor leagues are a huge part of the game for me. You know what to do, start hunting for those portraits! EDIT: All of a sudden I'm paying very close attention to this: Top Prospects by Baseball America
