NikL11
will you be able to build stadiums & play in them in Exhibition mode & during a season or can you only build them in a Dynasty/Owner Mode?
cb
From what I know, it's only in Owner mode.
LetsGoOakland
Yeah, I think it's only in Owner Mode, which is much a disappointment. I'd love to play exhibition games in that stadium. I guess you will have to copy the file and overwrite an existing stadium. Aside from that, I don't know how else you could. In 2004, you couldn't add a stadium to the list. RedLine
Well I think that you will be able to use the created stadiums in exhibition. I saw this in the Inteview with Ben Brinkman at Gamezone, look at the first part of his answer.(http://ps2.gamezone.com/news/02_02_05_08_15PM.htm) --------------------------- Question: The new version of this title boasts a create-a-ballpark feature. How in depth is this and will players create fun, fanciful, or serious parks, or all of the above? Will players be able to share these ballpark visions with others? Ben: Create Ballpark allows users to create a realistic ballpark for their team in Owner Mode, though the park can be used in any game play mode. It works a lot like the upgrade system in Need for Speed Underground. You begin with a small stadium. As you earn money in Owner Mode you are able to purchase upgrades such as new concession stands, seats, a hi-tech "jumbotron" and much more. The goal is to build a park that attracts fans in large numbers game after game. The more people who come to your games, the more money they will spend meaning more money goes into your pocket. Unfortunately players will not be able to share their ballparks this year. ------------------------------- What do you all think?
LetsGoOakland
What? Wow, I never saw that clause. In that case, BOOYA! Modders alert, make any stadium you want in Owner Mode, then mod it to your hearts' desire - we can have as many stadiums as we want then if you think about it. Several "created ballparks" modded to a real life past stadium? Sounds good to me. A lot of surprises it sounds today (real money and now this!). carter
I just hope we can limit the amount of EA Sports logos plastered around the stadium. It's great to create a stadium, but I am just hoping that it looks semi-realistic. I wonder if we'll be able to edit our stadiums outside of the game... hmmmmm... LetsGoOakland
I am sure they become .big files. The trick would to be where they put it (assuming the file arrangement is the same as last years). I don't see why they wouldn't be modifiable. What programs do modders use to change stadiums? LetsGoOakland
If that little window is the max length of the name of the stadium, I really hope you can edit created stadiums because you wouldn't be able to give them very long names like Three Rivers Stadium (Pittsburgh Pirates) or Kansas City Municipal Stadium (Kansas City Athletics). Check out these websites for old, current, new and future stadiums, plus news about stadium plans, renovations, etc. Interesting reads when you have nothing else to do: http://www.ballparksofbaseball.com http://www.ballparkwatch.com http://www.digitalballparks.com I wonder if you could redirect minor league team's home parks to a created park that someone replicated after their park? Peter5897
I don't think the create a ballpark feature is going to be as powerful as a lot of people hope (me included). I'm still hoping though!
LetsGoOakland
I am still hoping as well. If all goes well, for PC users, this could be huge. (Donald Trump voice) HUGE!
