Is it just me or does the game use REAL money? Look at the prices of seats (with dollar signs). And when he talks about his payroll, did he say 104,100,000/year. That's gotta be in REAL dollars and not points (just without dollar signs?). If true, this is something that a) is good (I hate using "points" for salaries) and was totally unexpected. Thoughts?

According to the article and the forums, the game does use real money. Woohoo! Much better than points.

I was actually wondering the same thing. I was thinking before there was a reason (by the mlbpa ??) that they couldn't post actual contracts / costs.

Yeah, I wonder if you can edit the fake coaches, that would be cool if you wanted to put yourself in or a classic manager like Billy Martin or Connie Mack. Managers have portraits so top notch guys like cubsfaninfla and Hory will be needed to come up with portraits for edited coaches :mrgreen:

This could be done last year with the editor that was created by rglass. Although I doubt the managers will have portraits.

In this year's game, managers do have portraits. Refer to the IGN diary on Owner Mode.
