Quick Question About Scouting The Opponent And "Inside Edge"

Is it just me, or is the only way to get information on opposing players during a game inside edge?

One of the great things about MVP baseball was all the information on the other team you could access during a game.

Now it seems I'm forced to play a game of baseball with almost no intel available during the game, unless I subscribe to inside edge for that particular team.

Guess I'll have to study up on my opponent before the game. But it's still not the same, i.e., I'm not going to memorize the contact and power ratings for every player.
