MarkB
I've noticed far too many threads here that have to be moved, merged or already exist. Please, before starting a new thread, check this list: 1. Is it about MVP 2005? Any threads about MLB 2005 or ESPN etc. should be created in the Left Field forum. 2. Is your potential thread about a new MVP 2005 video? If it is, post it in the MVP 2005 video topic instead of creating a new thread. 3. Search the forum to make sure the information you are about to post hasn't been posted already. It's also a good idea to make sure it hasn't been posted recently by having a look through the other threads on the first page of this forum. Hopefully, if these rules are adhered to, we can clean the forum up a little. Thanks.
MarkB
Given that some people don't like to read the rules, I'd like to make sure you guys know what's happening. Also, I have a few additions. 4. There is no need at all, ever, to create your post using uppercase (Or capital) letters. Any threads that have their titles in all uppercase or are posted in all uppercase will be locked. 5. I've said it once, I'll say it again. Search the forum before posting something. Being lazy isn't an excuse, so none of this "I'm too lazy to search, so I just thought I'd post it" crap. Search. I'll be locking anything remotely obvious. 6. If you have a PC problem, take it to Left Field. Don't post here. It's most likely got nothing to do with MVP and will end up being moved, so do us a favour and put it in the correct forum yourself. MarkB
And yet another notice: The limitations on avatars and signatures don't only apply in the Left Field and MLB forums. These, and all the rules in the rules thread are effective globally throughout the forums. Just so that no-one can say they didn't see it or couldn't find them, the rules are located at http://www.mvpmods.com/?name=Rules. The limit on avatars is 120x120 and the limit on signatures is 475x125 with 1 image.
MarkB
OK, another one. No "bumping". If your thread is going downhill, there is a reason for it. You do not "bump" topics. It's just spam and anyone who does it will be receiving a warning for spamming. Also, there is no need to attract undue attention to a thread you create. Reading the new FAQ I posted, located here can't hurt either. You will find a lot of the most frequently asked questions addressed there. Finally, there is no need to use multiple exclamation or question marks in your thread titles.
MarkB
It seems everything has to be covered here since some people don't quite understand how the forum works. If you have a question about a certain mod, are having trouble getting the game, or a particular mod or program, to work, post it in the MVP 2005 Support forum. If you have a question about using a certain mod on a console, put it in the - this one might be hard to understand - CONSOLES forum. If you have anything to discuss that has nothing to do with MVP 2005, don't put it in this forum. Don't put it in any of the MVP forums. Put it in Left Field, where it belongs. If you don't have access to Left Field, don't post it. Anywhere. This includes, but is not limited to; charity requests, discussions of unrelated games, requests for images to be made and discussions of other sports. And search before posting! MarkB
Guys, this is becoming stupid now. The site has just underwent a transformation, and some kinks are still being worked out. As of now, the download module is slowing the site down considerably, so at times, it may not be up and there will not be any downloads available. Please don't make a new post about this. We know about it, and it's being worked on. And if you feel that you absolutely MUST make a thread on it, at least put it in the corect forum, the Forum & Site Issues forum (ever wonder why it's called that?) and not the MVP forums. Come on, engage your brain.
