drovebykeptgoing1 Posted July 14, 2010 Share Posted July 14, 2010 Just built the new box, broke down and moved out of the stone age, Quad core and all that stuff no one cares about anyways,so I have Mvp 05 with most of the total conversion mods Matter of fact I have both original disks the manual the box everything plus all the mods I have gathered up from this great site over the years burned on dvd (thanx Trues u da man!)So I'm wondering is 2K10 worth messing with? or should I stay old skool with the great Mvp series?I mean space isn't a concern but game play is to me and I know Ea has the game play down I always loved the Mvp series just want to get some input on whether I should go get 2K10 since a patch is out or just hang with Mvp. DonSPa Posted July 16, 2010 Share Posted July 16, 2010 it is all about personal tastes.U could ask that to 100 people and 50 may say its a waste of time and the other could say its the best game.If u are able to rent the game then do that first.If u like it then buy it if not then u know not to waste ur money,myself i enjoy playing it when i am able.Once i got it set up my way it started to be fun.Its not the perfect game because theres areas that still needs worked on.The game has potential if 2k would just take the time and look over what needs worked on,and hire people who can actually test the game correctly Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There's no references in here about obtaining software by illegal means or even hinting around that you may or may not do it. In fairness, I read your post, specifically the "obtain" part, the same way as Y4L, and decided not to post. It's really not a big deal - Y4L was simply pointing out - not only to you, but also to anyone else who may read the thread and decide to turn the conversation into a "go download MLB 2K10 from xxx.com" conversation - that that type of discussion isn't allowed. Call it pre-emptive action. He didn't quote the rules purposefully to tick you off, it was a reminded to everyone that if you want to discuss that sort of thing, keep it to PMs. He wasn't accusing you of anything. Unfortunately, we get a lot of idiots who don't bother to read the rules of the site and want to discuss this sort of thing in the open forums, and if they see a mention of it in the forums, they'll be more than happy to jump in and start asking where to download games from. By posting the rules regarding it in the thread, no-one now has any excuse to start that sort of discussion. If I wanted to see tens of pages of threads asking "where can i download the newest fifa game plz kthnks lol!!!!!" and "I NEED A CRACK FOR MLB 2K10 PLZ HELP" I'd go somewhere else. Now, back to the original discussion - I'm playing 2K10 right now, but it's just a matter of time before I play MVP '05 again. Even if 2K11 is good enough for everyday play, as 2K10 is right now, I don't think I'll ever uninstall MVP simply due to the number of mods it has. Want to play with the '27 Yankees? MVP has it. Want to recreate a classic World Series battle? You can. Want to tweak damn near anything about the gameplay? MVP's datafile allows you to do it. Until 2KXX can replicate that, it'll always be MVP. Yankee4Life Posted July 16, 2010 Share Posted July 16, 2010 What you guys always seem to over look when we tell you to not talk about software piracy or anything that has to do with it is that this site here is an independently owned website by Trues and if a rich company like EA Sports and/or 2K Sports even thinks that we allow this kind of talk in the open forums they will sick their high priced lawyers on us and Trues can not fight something like that. So that is why every time someone even hints at downloading a game on the internet like drovebykeptgoing1 did when he said he "probably "obtain" a copy of 2k" with the word obtain in quotations. That to me implied that he was going to download it. Now whether he was or not is irrelevant. All I did was quote the forum rule to him about this and then I moved on. I wasn't going to say anything else to him about this. Anyone who knows how to guide himself around the internet can find places off of this website where we at Mvpmods have nothing to do with the content that have warez and apps and games and music and movies. They are out there but the thing is we are not going to help you find them or allow you to talk about them in here. So if you want your no-cd cracks or anything else, go someplace else. Nothing personal, but we have to be sticklers for this rule. And if you want porn, just talk to MikeZ. He runs a porn site on the internet and maybe with a kind word to him he'll get you in for half price. Oh, sorry MikeZ, I guess I'm just uptight. Yes there is an 08 mod and you can get it at MLBmods.com and on this site there are all updated stadiums for 2010 thanks to DennisJames and updated rosters too. For example you need to download Kraw's TiT program to install the 08 mod and for that to work you need the latest NETFramework from Microsoft.
