It's the same ol game with just a FEW touches.

The annoncers say the same things(maybe 1 or 2 changes)

The graphics are the same.(added a few things)

Layout still sucks(thank God for Mods)

The intro music SUCKS(last year was more of a baseball theme)

All and All it's the same crap with a few fixes.

They must of got this game done in a night.

It still looks the same and pretty well runs the same.

Don't expect too much "Big Boys"(Stupid!)

Believe me , I want it to be good too.

I just dont like what i see. I expected more, thats all!

Hahaha, NYM91 :D...

Samoggi, I know what you mean... the game "looks" the same... but those subtle changes should make for a much more pleasant experience playing it... last year's game was "almost" there in terms of the "oh-so-close-but-no-cigar" level of "perfection"... but I'm sure (by the looks of it) that this year is going to be so much close to it... and with the help of all us modders, maybe even closer.

After watching the videos, I'll admit that I did find myself thinking, "Hmmm, this looks and sounds like the same game I played an hour ago...." But the more I watched and the more I thought about it, I did notice some great improvements (which a few of you have already mentioned). And I reminded myself that I still love MVP 2004, so if they even make it just a little bit better, I'll consider it a step forward. And after the talented folks here work their modder magic, I'll consider it a giant leap forward. March 1st can't come soon enough.

samoggi-

If you actually think they got this done in a night, you have no remote clue about what goes into the creation, or modification of the game. I guarantee there is more there than you can see there, and it must have taken a concerted effort from a very large crew of dedicated folks to get it to this "same ol game."

But, really, I think you should stick with MVP 2004 and just keep modding it, because you can save all that money this same ol game costs. I truly hope you enjoy MVP 2004 for years to come.

I'm sure there will be changes and improvements. Just don't get

TOO excited. It's better to be happily suprised than disappointed. I've bought many EA products and always admire the work they do. There have been years where Tiger Woods PGA Tour actually got worse in some areas - but guess what - I went out and bought it again the next year. Its supposed to be fun.

Alright smartass, let see you make a game then - or if you can't do that ( which I know you can't) , go out there, find a better baseball game than MVP Baseball before you complain - you probably won't even find one CLOSE to MVP!

I think all his comments are dead on and yes there is a better baseball game than MVP, its called ESPN 2k5 and will be a much better simulation than the arcade style of EA.

OK, perfect... point taken... you're entitled to having an opinion... BUT... this website is called MVP Mods... hmmm... not 2k Series Mods... so please, have a little sense of respect... if you want to express your opinion, do it in the appropriate place, a.k.a. the Left Field forum (no boundaries there).

Bye then, go play your simulation ESPN 2k5. For simulation, I'd rather play OOTP.
