CCH3900
http://www.easports.com/games/mvp2005/spring.jsp For baseball fans, the end of the World Series brings about the long winter months, during which the days are passed counting down to four simple words: Pitchers and Catchers Report. Yes, for fans there's nothing quite like the magical days at the end of February, when the training camps begin to fill up, the players start to work into shape, and every team thinks it has a legitimate shot at the pennant. Of course, not all of them do, but with enough work and improvement, maybe some teams with middling talent can vault themselves into the playoff race, at the very least. Now, in MVP Baseball 2005, you can experience the magic of Spring Training when you're playing Dynasty Modeâ„¢ -- and what's more, you can improve some of your players while you're gearing up for the regular season. Play a full schedule of spring games to get your skills up to par, or simulate some of them out if you want to speed your way to the real action. Meanwhile, put your hitters and pitchers through the rigors of training to add to their skill attributes -- or, if you fail miserably, subtract from them! Every spring, your team can try to add to the skills of your hitters and pitchers up to five times, using the Batting and Pitching Mini-Game modes. Choose the same player five times in a row to really boost his skills, or try five different players to elevate each of them a little bit. Depending on how each player fares as you take him through the Mini-Game, you can add things like power and contact skills for hitters and speed and location skills for pitchers. Be careful, though -- if you come up short in the Mini-Game, and fail to even progress beyond the most basic level, your player will suffer, losing skill points instead of gaining them. If you're going to put your players through the rigors of spring, you'd better give it your all; any half-baked effort and you'll find your stars losing their talent instead of gaining it. Along with many other new features, Spring Training is just another great new part of MVP Baseball 2005. If you can't stand the wait for pitchers and catchers to report, get them to camp now -- in Spring Training mode!

LetsGoOakland
Haha, yeah his 300 hundred posts are separate thoughts within a few minutes of each other: 8:44am: "looks pretty syk." 8:48am: "whoa i didnt know i passed 300 posts." 8:50am: "oh." The writings of a true genius. Haha, I'm just messing with ya sjbushido because you're a Giants fan. It's written into the A's fan code book: "Article 2, Section 4, Line 42b: When an opportunity presents itself to make fun of, rag or insult an San Francisco Giants fan, a true Oakland Athletics fan will seize the chance to completely fulfill their fanship requirement." LetsGoOakland
In related news, I just passed 600 posts. Much quicker than you cloutier! Haha! I don't know why that's funny... I'd like to take this moment to reflect on my 600 posts, most of which nobody probably read and had little substance to add to the discussion. Kamasutra
I want to thank Dell for my awesome computer and my bank lender for the loan that allowed me to buy it three years ago. *Tears* LMAO, you should do standup btw, I'd also like to thank Dell. Back to spring training: I think the idea of having drills/mini-games (if that's what they are) to improve actually players is a good one, borrowed from madden sure, but works out quite well. That fact that you can actually screw up your training adds a touch of drama, very cool
LetsGoOakland
I like the addition of mini games for player progression but I guess I was looking more for drills like in Madden. But nonetheless a much needed and welcomed addition.
