Misopogon
Hackers, you're up. The last successful pickoff at 2nd base in MLB was in 1960, probably because pitchers don't like trying to throw 40 extra pitches in the direction of the outfield with little chance of success...not that 2K Sports has ever watched a game of baseball... Okay, not really. But they're a rarity. The amount of pickoff attempts is beyond ludicrous, to the point that the game is becoming unplayable. 2K patched the 2nd base lead-off thing, but in My Player mode, since you don't have control of the other runners, I'm still getting 20-30 pickoff attempts per game at 2nd, and about 10 percent of those are successful. It's annoying enough that a runner on 2nd is an automatic out for my team. It's downright maddening when I have to wait for 10 pickoff attempts at 2nd base (I haven't seen this many in my life in RL, and I watch a TON of baseball) for every pitch thrown to the plate. There's a slider to alter success rate for user-controlled players, but not for the computer. But we know it's possible, right? I put it to you: can we find a way to turn off pickoff attempts altogether? I'd rather just not have them, than spend this much time watching runners sliding back to 2nd. Micropterus58
I agree. I'm afraid to take more than one step off 2nd. I had Jeter get picked off the other day and I never took a lead.
Tony Williams
it would be nice to find a way to edit that, even though i believe its not possible to edit, someone needs to decode the script and tap into that, maybe with hex editor its possible
