How To Update Mlb 2K10

As MLB 2K10 gains a bit of interest, I figured a good post about all the updates and nitty gritty details so you don't hunt down everything for yourself is in order. After helping a few people update their MLB 2K10, I found quickly that having this will save a lot of trouble. So here starts 'How to Update MLB 2K10"

Step 1 - Install MLB 2K10 (seems redundant, but I'm covering all bases)

Step 2 - Back up every file you want to alter (we don't have a huge database to save your ***, so either back it up or find it on your DVD)

Step 3 - Patch your MLB 2K10 (PC CD/DVD Version) - http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=5771

Step 4 - Select your mods (like I said, back up everything you alter! It's not our responsibility to save you from your own stupidity)

Uniforms (mcoll has done a real nice job updating all the uniforms, so I'd suggest his versions) - http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showcat=59

Great thread, SSX! Thanks for getting this going for guys like me. If you could give a bit more detail on each step and what it usually entails, or some of the most popular mods in each category, or some of the generally accepted best modders (mcoll is a great suggestion for uniforms, by the way), I'd dig it.

Installing portraits, for example, confuses the crap out of me. Let's say I want to use 2K's rosters but update portraits. How would I go about doing that?
