Unfortunately, you can only play a dynasty with a CLS-1 team. These teams occupy the major league slots in the roster. It is no different than if you try to play a dynasty in an unmodded version of MVP2005. You can only play a dynasty with major league teams and not with an AAA, AA or A team. They only way to play a dynasty with a CLS-2 team would be to swap it with one of the CLS-1 teams, and this is not a trivial task, since you would have to modify the rosters, the logos, the uniforms, the in-game text (in the .LOC files), the team name audios, etc. What specific CLS-2 team do you want to play a dynasty as? If it is a team from the 70's, 80's or 90's, it's possible that you might find the same team in the Best of the 70's & 80's or Best of the 80's & 90's mod. These mods contain teams from the TC10 mod, but they have been moved to the major league slots to allow dynasty play.
thebeast0449
Hmmm. - ok thanks for the fast and clear reply.BTW this classics series is fantastic-love it - I wonder is there any way in particular the CLS-1 teams where chosen and is there an all time greats version where only the ELITE teams in history are picked? Is the 10 version of classics different teams to 9 ? I just wanted to play as 28 yanks but was surprised they weren't in cls-1,also the 55 dodgers....I have done some modding ( basic stuff) -so could someone point me to a tutorial or the like please - for swapping teams between cls classes. thanks in advance

I will say that the basis for Total Classics was taken from the work we did for MVP2004, where individual team packages were created (e.g. 1998 Yankees, 1975 Reds, etc.). With those packages, you had to install them one at a time. Total Classics took those individual packages and combined them into a single mod. Here is some early history of Total Classics (taken from the TC readme file): Phase 1: AAA(30) and AA(30) League Replacements with 60 of the best classic teams. Phase 2: 30 Single A League Replacements Phase 3: 30 MLB League Replacements As you can see, initially, the classic teams were added to the AAA and AA levels. Part of the idea behind this was that this would allow users to play with classic teams, but also still play with the modern (i.e. 2005) teams. The major league teams were the last ones to be replaced, in TC3. Here is what was added to TC10: 1. 1933 Giants replace the 1977 Yankees 2. Updated catcher's gear on 1960's teams 3. Updated uniforms for 1969 Cubs, 1969 Twins, 1987 Cardinals and 1998 Yankees 4. New jukebox music 5. New splash and CTS screen 6. Over 150 new and updated faces 7. Over 50 updated portraits 8. Roster tweaks 9. Updated stadiums (1956 Milwaukee County Stadium, Astrodome, Candlestick Park, Crosley Field, Forbes Field, Olympic Stadium, Classic Yankee Stadium). When you said "28 Yankees," I'm assuming that you meant the 1927 Yankees (Murderer's Row). You'd have to explain what you mean by "ELITE" teams. Your definition might not match someone else's. If you mean a mod with the top 30 game winning teams in the major league slots, then, no a mod like that does not currently exist. You do have the ability to run a dynasty with the 1927 Yankees if you download the TC1927 mod. Here's a download link: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=5414 While we do not have a 1955 single season mod, there is one for 1956. Here's a download link for TC1956: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=4248 There is no single tutorial for moving teams around. You'd have to search the forums to find information on each individual action you'd have to perform: - Edit rosters with MVPEdit - Edit logos - Edit team name audios - Edit uniforms and uniform preview screens - Edit in-game text (so team names appear properly)
