Game Crashing

I am using an older notebook, trying to play MVP 2005. I can run the game sloowwwllyy when the stadium textures are high. However, if I switch the textures to "Low", the game crashes when it tries to load the game. I noticed that the stadium textures are the culprit.

Here are some system specs:

Compaq Presario 2100

768 MB RAM

AMD Athlon 2800+ XP Mobile

128MB Video RAM

ATI Radeon IGP 320M

This computer is about 7 years old and run Windows XP SP3.

Everything is stock. It's a clean install.

Ok, go ahead and download one stadium from here, backup the old stadium and replace it with the downloaded one, run it on low and see if it crashes or not - I'm just trying to troubleshoot :D

If it crashes with the stock stadiums, I would expect that it would crash with the downloaded one, since the modded stadiums are typically bigger than the stock ones.

Have you tried multiple stadiums and multiple teams or always the same ones? Have you tried playing one of the mini-games to see if that crashes as well?

Do you have any other applications running in the background?

When I had a clean install of MP 05, Wrigley always crashed for me, so I got Trues Wrigley version and it worked like a charm...so maybe it'll help in this case haha

Well, I installed Progressive Field 2010 and that still crashed. Nothing is running but MVP, and the minigames crash as well (just did it now)

I would think that the High-end textures would be more likely to crash than Low-end textures.

Where did you download the original Mvp 2005 game from?

A friend of mine gave me ISO images of it. It works perfectly fine on a different computer (which is newer of course). If I run the game on high stadium textures, it works, but it lags a lot.
