Lukis
Ok, I had 2k9 for a while, and have been editing uniforms with the 2k9 IFF editor. Simple, just load, extract textures in jpeg or png format, edit, then put back in. Just bought 2k10, and want to do the same. Downloaded the 2k10 mod tool, but it doesn't let me extract textures in any normal editable format. It only extracts textures in DDS (?) or some sort of "2k9 Resource File" Bottom line is, I can't edit textures. There are plenty of amazing uniform mods from people in the download section, so there is obviously a way to do it, so please please please tell me how Thanks! Yankee4Life
Here is another guy who just doesn't know how, or care to search the forums for answers to questions like this. Either way it is my fault for pointing this out to him. SEARCH. Just take your time. Go right here and read the 2k10 FAQ list.
Lukis
Yea, I read all that way before I posted, and it didn't answer the one question I did have: how to edit DDS. I did find a plugin for GIMP that allows you to edit and save DDS files, so I'm all good to start modding now. It's very simple to use, just download the plugin, and put it into the GIMP directory. I'm sure photoshop has something of the sort as well. Happy Modding!
