Editing Names In Franchise Mode

I'm in the second year of my Brewers franchise and I started using the original rosters so a lot of Brewers prospects have fake names. I went through and edited some players renaming them, but on their jersey they retain their old made up name. Is there any way to fix this?

I have the same problem with my franchise, even when I use the Roster Editor.....At first I was able to change a player's name and it also changed the uniform name.

However, there seems to be a limit that can be changed. I don't know the exact number but it seemed about after the 4th or 5th change II was only able to change the name in the roster but the original name still appeard on the jersey.

Okay. It seems like none of my jerseys change though... O well. Weird.

u used the roster editor and it still wouldnt change names??hmmm,maybe once u start a franchise it wont allow u to change names,im not sure.When u open the file which file are u opening?is it the ROS file or the franchise file(FXG) ur making changes to with the editor??I believe u have to make the changes in the franchise file one.If u didnt make the changes in the franchise file Make sure u have a copy of ur original files first and then use the editor to make the changes and then play the game to see if it changed names for u

Here is what I did...

Used Roster Editor...

...Went to "Browse"

...Activated "FXG" file

...Activated team (in this case--Chicago Cubs)

...Selected player...Darwin Barney who previously was "Seaver"

...Made sure "names locked" was unchecked allowing for name change

...Activated "Jersey name" and changed "Seaver" to "Barney"

...Made sure "names locked" was checked to lock in "Barney"

Activated another player...but when I returned to "Barney" his "Jersey name" was still "Seaver"

Some months previous I did the same with Starlin Castro and had no problem...I also did this earlier with a few other players but the last three or four times I changed names, the "Jersey name" would not change and remained as the original.

ahhh ok ,dont lock the names back up, leave it unlocked when u change the players name.When u click on save,then the names in the search results list should disappear .Then once that happens click on the down arrow above the search and pick ur team again and u should see that the name has now been changed
