Yankee4Life
Hell, I remember Charlie Spikes very well. Right handed hitter I believe. Didn't hit a lot of homers but did hit some clutch ones.
dennisjames71
Game 10: The Yanks return home to take apart their hated rivals. Pitching continues to be our greatest strength and timely hitting (with power) are beginning to become regular. Now if I only had a legitimate base-stealer...Roy White is a 90 SPEED but he only has 1 stolen bag on the season so far.
dennisjames71
Yeah, I have to say that, after 2 series with the Indians...Spikes has actually been a tough out. He made it interesting by slamming that 2-run HR in the bottom of the 9th. I barely escaped this one. Hell, I remember Charlie Spikes very well. Right handed hitter I believe. Didn't hit a lot of homers but did hit some clutch ones.
BoJackson24
Amazing start, 8-1 Bloomberg bat is hot.
dennisjames71
Game 11: The inevitable happens...Luis Tiant's screwy delivery and change ups/ palmballs frustrate the hell out of me. Only manage 4 hits and no runs in the game. Have to face another type of "screwball" pitcher in Bill Lee for the next game...
dennisjames71
Game 12: One of the most fun and dramatic games I've played. Huge win for the Yanks and against a Boston pitcher that I could really care less about. I even had good 'ol Lou Piniella blast Bill Lee with a batted ball to the chest in the 1st inning. Good Times....

dennisjames71
Hey thanks a bunch bhurst...I have to tell you that I am a big fan of your video dynasties. I used to not really care for soccer too much but I found I was following your Liverpool Dynasty. Last month I bought a used copy of Fifa 09 for the PC and now I am a convert...I've been using the Newcastle team mostly, but I am still shopping around. Great job with this. Love to see the old time players come alive.
dennisjames71
Game 13: Another gripping and close game won in the 9th inning...also by the same score as my last game against the Red Sox. Great pitching all around and a tough win...I think this is gonna be some interesting season for the Yanks.
