I voted for anther year. Specifically 2004.

I just felt that it peaked with that year. Most "edit-ability", most realistic.

At one point, I was able to recreate the CFL, minus the rule changes of course. But that's a pretty good accomplishment for a game geared toward a whole different league.

I voted "another year". I haven't played a Madden game since the Sega Genesis days. '96 if I'm not mistaken.

I voted for another year (2008) because of the gameplay and great "upgrade-ability". I've been playing the Football Freaks '11 update on the PC all season long so far.

I voted for Other, 2006 was my favorite on the playstation 2. I did a franchise mode of 20 years without simulating a single game. I loved everything about that game at the time. The sim stats played out well enough to satisfy and the game play was strong. From 07 on, Madden ruined its simulation engine and franchise mode has become unsustainable after 2 seasons.

I bought Madden 10 last week used from gamestop for $15. That has been a lot of fun. The on field experience is the most fun I have had in a madden game, ever. The gameplay is great fun. The simulation engine is still messed up, though... which makes doing a franchise mode tough to stomach.
