Jim825
Where can i find it? You have to go to MLBMods.com, register there and then get it from their Downloads section.
wizcave
Hi all... 2 things. One, MLBmods doesn't seem to have a way to register. Has a login, but if you aren't registered, you cant login. Two, Norton sasys site is unsafe with Trojan ADH. Is there some other sites to get 08 and TiT ? EAmods isn't taking any more registrations. Thanks. EDIT: Found TiT. Thank you Tywiggins !!! emath2432
Hmm, that's crazy. It appears he actually did stop allowing people to register. Can't find a register link anywhere. It's a rather large file, so it's unlikely that anyone would be willing to download it/email it to you either. Sorry.
Homer
You guys can thank all the guys who are spamming and abusing the boards. New user registration is closed for the time being until I figure out a way to keep out the guys who want to abuse membership. I can't keep up with modding if I have to constantly be on the site dealing with those issues.

I'm spending a few hours in total each day banning spam accounts, cleaning spam messages from the forums, etc. I know that my modding time is being seriously impacted by all this. I try to log on 5 or 6 times a day to keep on top of this issue. If I go one to two days without logging on, it takes quite a while to catch up. I can't imagine what it will be like if I go on vacation for a week or more! I'm going to have to train my trusted lieutenants Sean O and RaptorQuiz on what I do because I'll probably be asking them to help out if I'm away for an extended period of time. Homer
There's got to be a better way to handle it. I haven't been able to mod much because of the increase in spam and banned users trying to find loopholes by creating duplicate accounts. I've thought about making registration by Admin only, but that just floods our emails with requests everyday. I'm open to ideas if you ever find a good one. I've just had enough of them lately, and don't have time to deal with it this week.

They could still download items, but they'd be limited to that until their New Member Probationary Time is up.

Over here, new user posts are not visible to the general public for a day or two (I can't remember exactly how long Trues set it up for). This was implemented about a month ago and has really helped because when I review the forums, I can delete the spam posts before non-Admins see them. emath2432
I think Dylan is on to something though. If a spammer had to wait a month to post, they would likely move on. Or, am I just fooling myself?

No, I don't think you are. But as Homer stated in his post, those idiots that are doing this are finding loopholes to get past this no new registrations that they have over at Mlbmods. If you check out that website, especially in the mornings, you will see that these accounts have been having no trouble at all getting access on Mlbmods and spamming the hell out of it. Can you imagine if there was no ban on new users for those guys? Homer wouldn't have time for anything because he's doing it all himself over there. Right now the registration freeze is good for them over there and as far as waiting for a month for new users to post, I'd go as far as making it even longer. redeck
unfortunately making it even as long as a month will certainly discourage legitimate new people from joining our ranks. my thought doesnt solve any problems, but making nice guy Joe wait a month before he can ask a question is more likely that he will just move on and find something else to do with his time. Which is fine, except these sites will shrivel on the vine without new blood once in awhile.

The majority of the spam accounts I see have gibberish names with gibberish e-mail addresses. I believe that they are generated through some sort of automated process, rather than an individual person sitting there typing them all in. The same goes for the spam messages I see on the forums. Yankee4Life
happy to help, well most of us usually are, and the ones who arent, usually help anyway Sounds like a Yankee fan I know very well. The majority of the spam accounts I see have gibberish names with gibberish e-mail addresses. I believe that they are generated through some sort of automated process, rather than an individual person sitting there typing them all in. The same goes for the spam messages I see on the forums. Jim's right. You can spot these spam accounts with ease. But even though these can be annoying and a pain to clear off the forums, these are not the worst things that can happen to the people that run these websites. Make no mistake, seeing these Cialis ads and Viagra ads that pop up are things we all have no use for, but the spammers who are even worse are the ones who seem to create accounts late at night or early in the morning and instead of posting links to online drug places, they post tasteless and disgusting pornographic photos, usually guys on guys. I remember once a few years back when I was still working and I logged in here around 5 am and I caught five threads with the same photo that I never want to see ever again. Fortunately those accounts are a rarity here. But when the summer comes you can put money down on some kid doing it. This is why I want to suggest one thing to you Jim that could help in stopping these spammers. Is there a way to prevent everyone from creating a new account on here from around let's say 2 am to 8 am East coast time? So whomever wants to make an account will get message telling them exactly why this is done and to ask them to come back later to register on the site. That way, if a spammer is going to make an account and post his Viagra links, he'll do it after 8 am when a staff member is here and they can get rid of it quickly instead of having it on the site for a few hours when everyone is asleep. I don't know if Trues can set this up but I think it is worth asking.
RdSoxFan618
I'm running into the same issue of not being able to download TiT! Can anybody send it to me or something along those lines? I had an EAMods.com account 3 years ago but I don't think it's working anymore. EDIT: After more searching, a link is HERE - http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?showtopic=45110&view=findpost&p=595718 Edited March 19, 2011 by RdSoxFan618
SneakyBastard
Just a side note, guys... and maybe some clarification on this? It appears that krawhitham's site, EAMods as well as MLBMods are shut down? Did he finally pack it in after all these years? It's a shame. He and his team were one of the first on the scene with this game and they really put some fine work out. ANyone have any information to back or deny this? It would be nice to know.... Gordo
Not sure why it's down, but getting nothing for mlbmods, not even some kind of error page. Usually if I lose my auto login it will still take me to the home page, but now, nothing.
Jim825
I sent a PM to Homer earlier to see if he knows what is going on. The domain hasn't expired, so hopefully it's just down for maintenance.

SneakyBastard
Still no word on what is going on with MLBMods or EAMods? Their sites are still unreachable. I do not know of anywhere else that has '08 hosted. Anyone here have it?? If I can locate '08 on one of my hard drives or other computers, should I upload it to one of the admins here? I mean, if EAMods or MLBMods have shut their doors for good, I am sure everyone would love to have a place to go to find it..... Just a thought. Just like you said, you are beating a dead horse. You asked this same question in another thread but you had to go ahead for some reason to create another thread asking the same thing. We all just found out that Mlbmods is down permanently. That means bye-bye, adios and sayonara. The reason why no one can upload it to the site is that those two mods do not belong to anybody except the guy who made them and if he decides to upload them here, he will. If not, that's his choice. So if that time ever comes I suggest you jump at the chance and get both of them and if it doesn't then you are out of luck. Many people (myself included) have both mods but as far as uploading them here for everyone, forget it Sorry about the question, guys. Got my answer. Sorry again. You might want to sticky a thread with "NO MVP '08 HERE!" or something like that for the title...Lol! Might save some headaches.
