tjans
I managed to (very easily) get TIT to install the MVP08 mod. My setup is basically multiple copies of the MVP 2005 folder for different versions of the game: MVP 2005 (Fresh install) MVP 2005 (standard version, updated to 2010) MVP 2008 (Fresh install) MVP 2010 (2008 mod with 2010 rosters) When I did TIT for the 08 mod, it worked great because it just created a data folder which I was able to easily drop into my database folder. Now I want to install some things like overlays and whatnot, and I'm having a little difficulty. I'm sure it's just a lack of knowledge of how it works...when install the overlay with TIT, this time, it doesn't create a new folder or anything...so I don't know how to move it into my modded 08 with 2010 rosters directory. I've tried renaming the folder to "MVP 2005" thinking it would default to that location, and then rename it back to 2010 when it's done, but that didn't work. Can anyone assist with this issue? Thanks much...

Yankee4Life
Isn't Total Installer Thingy supposed to be installed in the same folder as MVP? Try that. That is exactly right Dylan, and if this guy would have read the instructions that came with the TiT program he wouldn't have asked this. :unknw:
emath2432
Yup, each install of MVP will have to have it's own install of TIT in the programs folder.
tjans
I did read the instructions, I just must have missed that part. My apologies, I know it's frustrating when people don't put in the effort, which I thought I had. In any event, thanks for the replies...
redeck
tjans, alot of people miss that part, i did, and it took me awhile to figure out that you need a copy of TiT in each of your game versions as well. good luck to you, and dont worry about asking for help, but remember if you search the forums you will probably find an answer alot quicker than waiting for someone to reply. thats where i always start looking when my head starts itching. tjans
I just looked in the readme file...I still don't see where it says that it's supposed to be in the same folder...is there another file that I'm missing? Either way, I'll give this a whirl...

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm a regular on some other gaming communities, and I know the ettiquete on this type of stuff...I did do some browsing and searching, but I guess my search terms were not correct, because I didn't find anything regarding this. Thanks for the reply and the help fellas, much appreciated.
tjans
I copied the TIT to my MVP 2010 install folder and ran it to get the 2010 pitching overlay installed, but for some reason it isn't showing the updapted overlay. I must still be doing something wrong... Does the path matter? I have it set up as: C:\program files\ea sports\[copies of the original go here] So for my 2010, the path to the exe and TIT respectively is: C:\program files\ea sports\MVP Baseball 2010\mvp2005.exe C:\program files\ea sports\MVP Baseball 2010\TiT.exe If there's a thread or something that details this, if someone could link me to it (while I go and re-search for myself in the meantime, of course), I would appreciate it. tjans
I tried installing it instead of just copying it, and now I'm getting an "error opening file for writing" on tyzip.exe. I tried running as administrator too...oh well, I'll have to take a crack at this later...

tjans
Hey Dennis, thanks for the reply. A quick recap first...after I messed around with it last night, I found that it was barking at me for the file error because I already had some files in c:\program files\kraw, so I just copied the exes over to my mod folders and it was working as expected. The overlay in question was your 2010 pitching overlay. I wanted to start with something simple. So, what I previously thought was me incorrectly setting up TiT wasn't the problem at all. I installed your overlay several different ways, and it never would show up in the game. I read the post that your overlay release in it, and it seemed that others were having the same problem, so I just chalked it up to that there was an issue with the overlay or something and gave up for the night. Since I have you on the line, if you know of a fix or some other suggestion, I'd love to hear it. I edit/play RBI/Tecmo online these days, but those games aren't great for single player action, so I want to start diving into MVP2005. The more I know about some of these issues, the better experience I'll have, so if you can help, that'd be cool.
dennisjames71
Hey tjans, Yes, I wondered if it was my MVP 10 Pitching overlay you were having the problems with. So first off, I’m going to have to apologize to you regarding those instructions. I basically screwed up and said that you could use TiT to install my pitch selector and what you actually have to use is the EAGRAPH program. Here are the instructions for importing the pitch selector into the game: • Open your igonly.big file using EAGRAPH (under data/frontend folder) • Click the import button on the top toolbar and locate the pitchslc.fsh file • Click Add/Apply and close out EAGRAPH / The pitch selector should now be in the game. I’ve only been modding this game for only a little less than a year now; but I’ve learned some of the strange issues regarding TiT and this game. There are quite a few files (like uniforms, stadium select screens, and logos) that TiT can install in one swoop. Some other oddball parts of the game (like pitch overlays) require EAGPRAPH to get it into the game. Let me know if this helps at all and if your still having problems; I can send you over my igonly.big file when I get home from work tonight. Just to let you know, I put up the correct instruction with my MVP 11 pitch overlay.
tjans
Hey, no problem brother, it's all good. The only reason I'm using the 2010 one is because I haven't found 2011 rosters that work yet, so I'm staying with 2010 for now. I'll try doing it myself with eagraph first (I assume the download for eagraph is somewhere here or mlbmods) and if I have troubles I'll let you know. P.S. If taht pic in your sig is actually your face in the game, that's pretty freakin' awesome. I'm gonna have to try that myself one of these days. You know what?...good question...I actually forgot where I got EAGRAPH <it's been so long ago when I first used it>. If a search doesn't find it here; I would say it was on MLB.mods. Or you can typically do a google search to find "eagraph.exe" <its a tiny file>. Yeah the pic in my sig is just my portrait imported into MLB 2K10; but the cyberface is just customized in the game...I have no clue how to do cyberfaces in either MVP or 2k10. 2k10's player editor for baseball and basketball is pretty sweet, you can change almost everything. Ps. I also updated the instructions on my MVP 10 pitch selector and I uploaded only the pitchslc.fsh file <so it's easier to locate>. Good luck with everything. redeck
im sure eagraph googgle will turn it up as it is used for modding many eagames i believe. I think the guys who modded ea basketball actually made the program to begin with.
