CutterTML
I got the 67 mod and downloaded it and tried to do the same steps that Jim had said in a different forum. However, what happened was that when i tried to extract the 67 mod.exe to a folder called 67Install, it had a strange icon, Mr. Red (mascot of Cincy) and i tried to extract all the stuff to TC1967 (the folder i tried to do the mod in) but it wouldnt budge BECAUSE it relates to MatrixGames in some way. I DID manually replace files that i know were simlar in both my out of box game and the 1967 data folder i did get. I did get in the game but couldnt play any EXHIBITION games for some reason. What did i do wrong and how do i solve this prob?
Jim825
You should have been able to install this mod (and TC Best of the 70's and 80's) the exact same way as you did the TC1927 mod. These mods have nothing to do with MatrixGames (and I don't know what MatrixGames is), so I have no clue what you are talking about there. Delete your TC1967 and 67Install folders and try again. If you still have problems, post EACH and EVERY step you performed IN DETAIL, using the same format I gave you (one line per step, with space in between each line). That's the only way we'll be able to determine what you did wrong. As far as the error you got with the Best of the 70's & 80's mod, it does sound like your download may have gotten corrupted somehow. You may have no choice but to re-download and try again. Yankee4Life
I don't get it. Why didn't you just read the step by step instructions on how to install multiple mods? Those steps cover all the mods except for the 08 mod. What are you missing here? Have a clean copy of 05 and install the mod -in this case the 1967 mod- over it. DONE. redeck
Jim Matrix games is a website that offers mostly strategy war game downloads. They at one time had Puresim baseball as well. I used to frequent that place myself. However Cutter, if you somehow got to matrix games during an install from a mod here at this site, you REALLY did something goofy. Like Jim said. start over, try again fresh. write down each step you take, every step. if what you do doesnt work, then you can come here, and tell us exactly what you did and we can probably pretty easily tell you where you miss stepped. You gotta remember that these mods in some cases have been downloaded and installed over 1,000 times. They work. the installer works. If it fouls for you, its probably something you missed. Think it through try again. When i first used Jims installer, I screwed it up 3 times, but i figured it out. It really is a nice tool once you get used to following the steps. CutterTML
I did delete everything and redid everything step by step such as extracting and install into TC67 folder under C:/Program Files and THIS TIME IT WORKED!!!! I think i didnt manually copy EVERYTHING to TC67 folder and the out of the box version (copied MVP2005 stuff to TC67 folder) the first time. Everything is good EXCEPT the classic stadiums dont show up where they should, such as Yankee Stadium should be older when i play in there, everything else is good (no major stadium gripe, just saying)
redeck
It was my going back to the pictures Jim is how i figured out the installer when i was having trouble back in the day.
Yankee4Life
It was my going back to the pictures Jim is how i figured out the installer when i was having trouble back in the day. That's because you actually took the time to read Jim's installer.
redeck
Yeah, Jims installer is a great little helper, but you have to make sure you do what it tells you, if you miss on step it just wont work. It is not a one click program, but it does the job if you do your part. I like that it actual tells you when its done and that it was successful. In honesty i didnt read the instructions the first few times i tried to use it, and that is why i failed then also. It never worked until I like you say Y4L took the time to read and follow the instructions. You figure "Oh installer cool, i just have to click this here" but its not entirely the case here. Not knocking it, I like it actually. it works, you just got to do your part.

Not knocking it, I like it actually. it works, you just got to do your part. Jim's installer is one of the easiest installers I have ever come across. It does the job and all that it requires of you is to do some very little reading, which for some people in here is comparable to pulling teeth or donating money. I am convinced this is exactly what happened here. This guy sees the installer, does some strenuous labor by clicking the mouse a few times and when it doesn't work, wonders why the hell it didn't. Read you guys!! This goes not just for this guy but for everyone here. These guys who made the mods in here also have provided instructions on how to use them. They can make the mods, can package them up, provide instructions and upload the mod. The only thing that they can not do is make you do the reading yourself. And you will be shocked at how many people don't care to read them.
