APR
I really like how EA cleaned up the presentation of the Menu's. It looks really crips and clean this year.

Goldensuitcase
Beltran ahd a rough year fro the Mets...278, 25hr's, and 89rbis That's kind of realistic. I can see him doing that but I can also see him being the MVP. You just dont know which way he will go offensively.
RonBurgundy
Are you saying they should not be #1? With a rotation of Schilling, Clement, Arroyo, Wakefield and Wells with a recovering Miller (best signing of the offseason in my opinion) and one of the most dominant offenses in the game, why should they not be getting this praise after besting your Yankees and winning the world series? I think it's time to get off that pedestal and realize how short you guys can be They rated the CUBS ahead of the Yankees and Cardinals. What da hell is wrong with EA?(Wait I know, the people who make the game don't know what baseball is and have never seen a baseball game in their lives.) YankeexDev
Im not going to argue this anymore. All the yankees pitchers can win 15 plus games with the offense the yankees have
WinnieThePujols
Yea, but the thing is then it's really not teh Yankees rotation so much as the Yankees offense being dominate and teh Yankee pitching being just good enough to hold down the fort for wins......trust me on this.....I'm a Cardinals Fan. YankeexDev
yanks won 101 games last year without pavano, randy and wright. They had mussina, Brown(was injured alot) Duque(didnt pitch first half of year), lieber and javy. Plus they had Halsey pitch some games

YankeexDev
With this rotation they can win 110 games i think. I think boston has a worst rotation
RonBurgundy
Well, if the screenshots tell us anything. EA butchered the Yankees' hitting attributes...they didn't even score 800 runs in that simmed season with Sheff leading the team with a measly 32 homers. And it can't be that A-Rod just got injured, the Yankees would still have Matsui, Posada, Tino, Bernie, or(hey, you never know)Jeter, all of which could hit 30 or more home-runs. But as I saw in this screen (http://previews.operationsports.com/images...2005xbox155.jpg), they butchered Jeter's attributes too.
WinnieThePujols
Yea but that doesn't make the rotation dominant. It just means they upgraded.

The only thing less than his career averages is his average and its not a horrible one. It's only 20 points lower than last years. Do I believe it will happen, no but I also am not getting pissed that Beltran had a .279 average when most expect him to have an MVP year. I think you are taking this a little too far little one. Goldensuitcase
Heres something else that I find to be funny. You are bitching about 32 homeruns as if it's nothing and it took Rodriguez over 600 AB's to get 36. Matsui had 31 while all the others mentioned all had 25 or less. So I dont see why you are even arguing this. It is obviously possible in real life let alone a video game.
qpontiac
Beltran having a .279 avg seems about right due to the fact that his career BA is .284. He batted .258 last year with the Astros when he had to face the far superior NL pitching...Personally, I think Beltran will go down as one of the most overrated blunders in a long time.... But hey, the Mets are sort of known for terrible acquistions: Mo Vaughn, Bobby Bonilla, Roberto Alomar anyone?

qpontiac
I think it's cool that the salaries are in real money and not that "credit crap" or what looked like how MVP 2004 was, and I was also nervous that the stats would be limited, but I was pleasently surprised to see OBP and SLG, and stuff...Why though since they track IP, BB, and Hits Allowed, couldn't they just calculate WHIP? Oh well, that's minor...I'm so psyched it almost hurts P.S. Ray Durham with 25 HR???...God I hope so

I am bitching because they inflated the Sox attributes(they had like 4 guys with .330 + averages in that sim, with Bill "Fluke Baating Champ" Mueller getting a .340), while deflating the Yankees in every way possible(Tom Gordon, Randy, and Pavano only bright spots on team).
