furball
I had a reliever who would present himself as 100% stamina over multiple innings when I played him in PLAY mode (as opposed to Manager mode or Sim.) He had 100 as his stamina, and if I MANAGED my at bats and then PLAYED his pitching innings, he showed up in the PLAY innings as 100% stamina after two or even three innings, even though when I clicked to show player's stats, it would say something like 92/100. Thus, this guy showed up in 3 consecutive PLAY innings as having 100% stamina and his pitches seemed that effective, even though if I clicked down into his stats, it said he was, like, 92/100. The odd thing is, the next year of my dynasty, this pitcher's stats didn't change AT ALL. But now, he DOES NOT get that benefit. That is, where last year, if I PLAYED him for an inning, then MANAGED my at bats, then PLAYED the pitcher, he would show up as 100% stamina in the PLAY screen. But this year, with the SAME underlying stats - stamina, pitch stuff, etc., - his stamina goes down just as you'd expect. What causes this? Is there anything I can see in the stats or using Ty Wiggens' editor that would tell me if I can expect this? Thanks, in advance.
furball
Ok, certainly some of you must have seen this: A starter with 99 or 100% stamina starts a game. He goes through 3 or 4 innings with his stamina not dropping much, but it does drop a little. Then he starts the 5th or 6th inning with 100% stamina! And maybe starts the 7th or even 8th with 100% stamina! Does ANYONE know what causes this?
Edtench
I have never seen this in my many games. Does it happen with different relievers or always the same guy? What difficulty settings and slider settings are you using?
furball
It only happens with a couple of starters and relievers, not random guys. It's been awhile since I played with the original players, but I think Jason Schmidt or Johan Santana showed this. I play on Rookie level and most of my sliders are at 0 and ON except variable strike zone and blown ump calls are OFF. (It would surprise me if this made a difference, else I would expect random players to exhibit this.)
