KerryW
Kind of a useless, but interesting topic... The Cubs are ranked #2 behind the Red Sox.. Other rankings are.... Red Sox are #1, Cardinals are #4, White Sox are #12, Astros #18, Marlins #10, Yankees #3. I guess we'll know of the rest tomorrow..

WindyCHC165
on the cubs rivalry section, they had the 'whitesox, cardinals and the mets' in '03 and '04. Anyone know why the METS are on their rivalry section???
krawhitham
Our current offense is actually much improved over last season's.. you live in a fantasy world you will score allot fewer runs this season than last

Smitty
For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure those screen shots came from an earlier version of MVP 05. I'm sure I read somewhere - here or on the gamespot.com boards - that all those screens from operationsports come from an unfinished version of the game. So, the Cubs ranking is strong probably because of Sammy. I don't know, that's just my take on it. I'd be shocked if they haven't fixed the rankings around prior to release. :? KerryW
you live in a fantasy world you will score allot fewer runs this season than last How so? We won't have Sammy to drag us back down...Nomar will be our SS through the start as opposed to last year...Burnitz will be hitting homeruns like there is no tomorrow..I think our offense will be pretty damn great
WindyCHC165
Sammy didnt hold much of the cubs last year... only shame and embarrassment
mrg1
Smitty is probably right As much as you all might be glad to be getting rid of Sosa in real life, you know that, on a videogame, its gonna make your team worse I wouldnt be surprised to see the Yanks end up being #1 in the released game after Randy Johnson... HAHAHAHA he hit 13 HRs away from Colorado last season what about Alou??
krawhitham
you lost 74 HR and 186 RBI this off season Burnitz could only hit at Colorado you pitching is the key this year, if they have the same problems as last season the cubs will be 3rd or 4th
RonBurgundy
I don't trust Wood and Prior to win 15 games. They're both unreliable, can't pitch long into games, they're not big-game pitchers, and they're always injured.
Jabroni
you live in a fantasy world you will score allot fewer runs this season than last Agreed. The Cubs had the worst offseason in the MLB... Cubs lose: Sammy Sosa Moises Alou Matt Clement Kent Mercker Kyle Farnsworth Cubs get: Jeromy Burnitz Jerry Hairston Henry Blanco Stephen Randolph Roberto Novoa There's no way that they should be ranked 2nd. But keep in mind, the default rosters will still have Sosa and Farnsworth on the Cubs. Watch that #2 ranking drastically drop when you replace Sosa with Burnitz and Farnsworth with Roberto Novoa.
mrg1
After watching those 'trade tracker' videos with the new Sammy, im pretty sure they went back and changed the roster cutoff date... Sammy will probably be on Baltimore
Gamingboy
I doubt that, I thought I remember seeing Hairston as a O in one of the videos that were released after the trade trackers.
