wg1981
Im a veteran of MVP on the console but am about to make my first jump into the PC version. If all goes according to plan it'll be waiting on me when I get home from work tonight. That being said, I have zero idea on how to use anything in the download section. The idea of the total conversions and rosters are exactly why i got into the PC version. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as a link to where I can find step by step instructions on how to use the downloads or give me some idea on what Im doing here. Right now my biggest concern would be getting the 2011 rosters, that would be a great first step for me. I dont need accurate jerseys, stadiums or even player pictures, I just want 2011 rosters on the game for now, if thats possible. Thanks for taking the time. Jim825
Welcome to the site. Most of the mods have instructions on how to install them. I provided very detailed instructions for the Total Classics mods. The mods are usually compressed into .Zip, .RAR or .7z archives. You will need a decompression tool, like WinRar (available at http://www.rarlabs.com) to extract the files. You can then look at the Readme file or installation instructions to see how to install the files. As for the 2011 rosters, you may need to install the MVP2008 mod first. This is available at http://www.MLBMods.com. You have to register there before you can download that mod. I can't be 100% certain that you need MVP2008 first, since I do not play with the modern players. I only play (and develop) the Total Classics mods. Good luck and have fun! Yankee4Life
Wg1981, what Jim told you here is a good starting point for you. Download the 08 mod and then update the rosters. While you are over at Mlbmods, check out the roster set that is compatible with the new cyberfaces that are released. That is the roster set you will need because that is the latest rosters out. Once you get comfortable with the new rosters you are going to want to branch out and update some other things in your game. The newest stadiums have been made by a modder named Dennis James. Just check the download section and there you are. As for total conversion mods, I got two words to say to you about that: Maximum Overload! You won't know what TC mod to download first and the thing about that is there is no wrong choice. Each and every total conversion mod is a portal back in time where you can play with and against the greatest players of all time. Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig, Grove, Dimaggio, they are all there. Take your time downloading them, and have fun. (Of course, this post would not be complete if I neglected to mention all the new and updated uniforms, stadiums and a full audio mod are available for the Total Classics games.) You have some downloading to do.
