Ok, let me try. Here are the directions to replace the Minneapolis Metrodome with Dennis James' Target Field.

**Instructions**

Simply copy the the venuday & venunite .BIG files into your mvpbaseball2005/data/stadium folder.

Ok, what this means is you have to do this.

1. First, back up your original VENUDAY.BIG and VENUNITE.BIG files. You can do that by making a temporary directory and placing those files in there for backup purposes. This is always important.

2. After you unzip the Target Field mod you downloaded, place the VENUDAY.BIG and VENUNITE.BIG files into the directory called Mvpbaseball2005/Data/Stadium and you will be OVERWRITING the VENUDAY.BIG and VENUNITE.BIG files that are already in there.

3. When you get into the game, go to the Twins home field and you will have Target Field.

All due respect, Y4L, but that's not entirely correct. I've done this myself and there are additional steps after #2.

If you just "go to the Twins home field" like you've suggested, you're going to be looking at the Metrodome again -- because the Twins' home field is metrodome.big, not venuday.big and venunite.big. Those files are actually the Owner's Mode CAS defaults.

After you've copied the venuday & venunite files, open MVP and start a new Owner mode. You'll have to name the field "Target Field," like dennisjames suggests, and I'd agree that the High RF Wall option looks goofy; use the small field (I can't remember the exact name; it's the symmetrical one not named "Symmetrical," as the shorter outfield walls are close to Target Field's actual dimensions). Save the owner file after you've finished the CAS portion under any name you want.

Now, with the field as it currently sits, it's going to look rather empty. You still need to purchase the stadium upgrades (Level 5 seating, scoreboard, ads, etc.) to get it to look similar to the real thing. You can approach this in one of three ways: play through the season(s) as normal to accumulate the money, simulate through the season(s) to accumulate the money, or just use a funds altering program like tywiggins' Money Changer or ArtMoney. Whichever route you elect to go, this is how to get Target Field to look like dennisjames intended.

To use the field in game, you'll have to scroll left or right to the Custom Stadium screen, where you'll be prompted to load an Owner Mode file. Unfortunately, because the Twins' default is only the Metrodome.big, you can't set the CAS as the default, or at least not likely without changing the datafile. If you follow these steps, you should be able to get Target Field working for both Exhibition and Dynasty modes. Hope this helps!

Hey Guys,

To make everything easier...I've posted my Twins "owner mode" file. Just unzip it and drop it into your My Documents/MVP Baseball 2005 folder and load the file called "TWINS". The CAS Target Field will now look exactly like it does in my screenshots of the stadium. Good luck all. :good:

You know something? You're right. I'm sorry I didn't add these additional steps because I overlooked this was a created stadium for owner mode. Thank you for pointing this out.
