i was playing madden up at school with some friends, and one of the "RPGers"

asked if he could play.

We showed him the manual so he could get an idea of the controls

When he asked what a swim move did, I told him "It gives +10 to all your water attacks"

He didnt realize I was joking

Haha, that's hilarious. Where do you go to school, man? Also, you joined on my 20th birthday. I am a Veteran's Day baby. I never have school on my birthday so my Hour of Power (well now two hours with the liquor law change this year) is perfectly placed.

That's what GameStop told me. That's why I am just going to pick up my PS2 version while I wait for the PC game.

Your gamestop musta been filled with lazy rpg people when you stopped in cause even their online store has it ready to buy for PC:

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646063

Notice it says usually ships in 24 hours. That is where they have the release date. Anyways why pick up the ps2 version? PC allways blows it away with all the mods that some of the great people here put out.

P.S. Save yourself the frustration and if you have a GS just go to their website find the game you want and enter in your area code to check avaliablity, not one instance has their online check failed me :) PC IS out today. (of course those online checks also are not updated untill the games are scanned in either so it doesnt work right now heh.)

Haha, I had a shared experience last year. Although I was living on my own and school kept me pretty busy, I pretty much isolated myself in my free time with MVP. A couple hours window between school work was not enough time to go out with friends and face the stacks of books the next day.

How much is your tuition? My dad works at Stanford University as an engineer and all of his dependents' tuitions are covered up to $13,000 or so a year. So I dodged a huge bullet there. Otherwise on top of the $11,500 I already owe in student loans, add $33,500 to that - a grand total of $45,000 and I still have a year of loans left (maybe another $5,000 loan for summer school this year). Ugh...

It said 2/22 for the PC version when I went in to trade NCAA 2005 for it but they kept telling me it was not bumped up.

I am getting the PS2 version so I can play my roommates (much more difficult to play against each other online because you cannot see their pitch meter, etc. and in Madden, you can't see anything but their formation) and my brothers online (one in Danville, California 850 miles away and another in Chico, California, 1,150 miles away). Since I am getting the PC version for only a few bucks anyhow, another $29.99 doesn't seem so bad since most games retail for $29.99-$39.99 PC and $49.99 PS2.

im living by myself off campus, and got a pretty good scholarsip, so im only gonna be paying about 6000 a year in loans, and about 1000 a year out of pocket

tuition with room and board is 40,000/year, but only the rich kids end up paying that much, our financial aid system is 1 part merit-based, 2 parts welfare.

My MVP playing is usually around these hours, when I should be doing homework.

With school, work, and the random crazy stuff that goes on on campus, i have little free time during decent hours

Thats cool, thats one of the reasons i love PC over consoles. You can't see what the other guy is doing (pitch meter, play selecting) when you play online on PC cause you get a dedicated screen and you see it like you would actually see the game IRL which adds to the appeal of playing the game imo ;) Most of my buddies have PC's so we allways just hook up to play ip2ip on the PC with all our mods hehe. Anyways Yea they all ship on 22, the closer you live to Louisville KY, the better chance you have of having the game in your hands tonight as thats where EA's shipping warehouse is located. Me im about 4 hours from there so if i had preordered id probablly have it tonight ;)

She's just dumb. They don't hire anybody other than Lord of the Rings and Dungeon of Dragons types. Whenever I go in, I want to talk sports game and I get blank looks. They are all into the fantasy games I do not get into but they pay no attention to sports game in the least. I am going to stop by EB Games, Software Etc. and GameStop tomorrow on my break/after work.

This seems to be the same attitude all over. I get the same reaction around here no matter what game store I go into. That's why I didn't pre-order my game. I know I can walk in when it gets released and pick it up off the shelf.

Games like the RPG's, Doom, Final Fantasy stuff go fast. Those are ones you pre-order. I've never been shut out on the first day of a game's release around here by not pre-ordering a sports game. The people at EB Games always ask me to pre-order the baseball games I want and they are always disappointed when I don't. They must get credit for it if you do.
