And also, one thing I noticed was on the Airborne Express shipping was they only try twice then the game gets sent back??? So when should I start to leave a note up for them to just leave it. The H Posted February 22, 2005 Share Posted February 22, 2005 Mine is showing 'back ordered'... and that worries me a little bit, since I read in some other thread that they were only expecting like 40-50 units of each version of the game as part of their initial batch from EA. As soon as the order ships out, you'll get a tracking # from Outpost. It should provide you with an estimated date and time of delivery. The H Posted February 22, 2005 Share Posted February 22, 2005 As EA's shipping date is now official, I'm sure they (Outpost) will start shipping the game right away (that is, on the 22th)... but as it is being shipped out via AE Ground (unless you paid the extra money to upgrade your shipping), it could take up to 5 days (depending on where is it being shipped to) to be delivered. Today I did it on the phone and it literally took 2 minutes. I decided saving $10 isn't worth waiting an extra 4 or 5 days, if not longer...... I'm a bit on the frugal side, and I love saving money. I normally wouldn't bother with the pre-order either, but I had to do it this time because of the price drop. Now it means I might have to wait awhile before I get my copy, but I look at it this way: this gives other people time to find the bugs and tweak the settings so I'm ready to go as soon as I get my copy! I ordered mine over the phone (website was fluctuating between 19.99 and 29.99 the day I was ordering it), so I have no idea how to track my order other than just calling them. Entering in a phone order number on the web doesn't work. I'll give them a call and let you know what I find out. I called a few minutes ago and the rep told me they are only expecting an initial batch of around 25 units per version of the game, that they 'should be getting it between tomorrow and thursday' and that my order would have to wait for the second batch EA' will ship to them (and that thanks to a stupid salesman that cancelled my order the first time, by mistake, when I called to have my order updated with the newer, lower price). I'm just going to walk to my closest EB Games and pick the game up there tomorrow.
