leafnut24
So I am new to the world of editing cyberface and recently got nba 2k11 mod tool and paint.net. Everything went fine until I opened a player head iff. It was of Jose Bautista and only the skin shows up. The facial hair, hair, eyes, nostrils, and eyebrows show up as white. Same problem when I open it in paint.net. Can anyone help?
DetroitStyle
First of all, since your using paint.net you need this http://forum.leaguecraft.com/index.php?/topic/2358-skinning-start-up-kit-includes-tutorial/ Secondly, you can't just open a .iff file. You need to extract the textures from it. http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=138&t=80851 ^^ That guide will show you how to do so. You need to extract the texture to .dds format then open it in photoshop. There's only 1 texture you need to extract and it's the first one "0" I believe. Use this link for further info. The file structures are basically the same for nba and mlb. http://forums.nba-live.com/viewforum.php?f=138&sid=3422a43ded806c453d69b10352b82ac2
leafnut24
Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't actually just open the iff file, I opened it in the nba mod tool and saw that texture zero showed the skin and beard, the rest was whited out, so I extracted it into a dds and opened it with paint.net. Same problem. I've been having issues with opening dds files in photoshop even with the plugin so in paint.net I saved the texture as a png and opened it in photoshop. Same problem. Is the face texture supposed to show facial features and hair?
DetroitStyle
yes. you must be doing something wrong. Try photoshop, that's what I use, and install this specific plugin: http://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop
leafnut24
WOW, I have no idea what I just did. I just just opened photoshop just for the heck of it and poof all of a sudden problem fixed. And I had already downloaded the plugin earlier today. Thanks for the help anyways, glad I've got this working. :D
leafnut24
One last question, I notice that in photoshop that the eyes are closed on the player texture, is that normal?
DetroitStyle
Yes. The eyes are a separate texture.
