I guess given your huge lead it doesn't matter.

Pettitte pitched really well today, but he was unable to get the win, as the Rays tied the game in the 9th. Cano homered in the 2nd to give the Yanks the lead. Pettitte went 8.1 innings, gave up 7 hits, 1 run and struck out 10, but Rivera was unable to get the save as Damon tied the game with a single. Granderson homered in the 10th to make it 2-1 and Soriano closed the game.

The Yanks managed to win again in the 10th inning thanks to a 2-run blast by Mark Teixeira. Hernandez went 7 and gave up 5 runs (3 earned). The Yanks got the lead in the 2nd thanks to a 2-run blast by Granderson, but in the bottom of the frame Shoppach made it 2-1 with a sac fly and Rodriguez tied it with a RBI double. The Rays got the lead in the 3rd with a RBI single by Jaso, followed by a 2 RBI double by Brignac. In the 4th Swisher made it 5-3 with a solo blast and in the 6th Cano tied with a 2-run shot. The Yanks won the game thanks to a 2-run HR by Teixeira and thanks to a scoreless 10th thrown by Mariano Rivera.

The Yanks got an early lead thanks to a solo homer by Posada, and in the 5th Cano drove in 2 with a double to make it 3-0. But in the 6th inning, Willingham tied the game with a 3-run home run. In the bottom the 6th, the Yanks wasted no time as Jones hit a 2-RBI single. Jones drove in 7 RBIs in the last 2 games. Rivera tossed a perfect 9th to get the save.
