benny boy
Sorry if this has been answered but I looked for the answer for awhile before posting this. I know that default rosters can be opened and edited in mvp edit but can roster saves be opened and edited in mvp edit. The reason I want to do this is because I have a roster save that has the wrong faces on players and I was going to open the save in mvp edit and change the faces of the players that look messed up. benny boy
so I found the mvp export and import utilities by tywiggins and exported my data files after loading the roster save. when i try to open them in mvp edit it gives me a runtime 3022 error saying that the changes made were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship? Please help?
benny boy
I edited a couple players on the roster save that I couldn't get to export and work with mvpedit and saved it as a new roster file. Then I loaded the new roster file and exported those data files and they now are able to be opened in mvpedit. I don't know if this will help others that get the 3022 error message. Veesmack
I use MVPEdit to edit the default roster only. In addition, you can manually edit roster files by changing any .DAT files extension to .TXT and changing it back after your done to .DAT). If you have any problems with trying to export your roster, then you can always import the roster files from MVP 05's actual default roster file (this is found in Data/Database) to retrieve the last working DAT File. Keep in mind that if the roster file from MVP Edit doesn't work, it will not export the roster. Furthermore, If you get persistent errors that don't seem correct (like why does it always say lineups aren't complete when they are) than find a default roster save, and replace the team with a default team. Then edit from scratch
