that is correct, because the .mbe file is what MVPedit recognizes / manipulates. Then, the mbe file is exported back out to the .dat files as long as you have no errors.

A biggie is, make sure you don't move a #1 SP to another team or you could corrupt the roster. Move him to another slot in the rotation first and avoid the headache

Great! I'm already doing tweaking for next year. I doubt The Show or 2K will catch my interest like this game does. Plus bringing custom rosters online can't be beat.

Moving guys in and out and upgrading control for relief pitchers that deserve it at this point.

If anyone seems to think there are any glaring ratings problems with any players point them out along the way.

The only way to do it is to 1) make sure the total players aren't over the Xbox roster limit (which I believe is somewhat smaller than the PC version) 2) standardize it (no custom cyberfaces), then 3) have someone with a modded xbox make you a franchise file for your given team.

Unless someone knows another way......

You could easily do it through mvpedit by simply deleting players. I don't think the standardmaker works that simply. I think you have to fine tooth comb the roster. I believe once you have it as you want, you then run it through the standardmaker.

I managed to get database.big file loaded and going briefly but the game crashed on the xbox. I then saved it as a roster file and it seemed to work okay for an exhibition game at least(except for the faces not matching the bodies on some players). Thanks.

The way I always used PC rosters on Xbox was by exporting the DAT files to the database folder and overwriting the previous files. Then I would delete hist.dat.
