tebjr
I'm hoping a roster modder can help me out here. I'm having a problem with the database getting corrupt after importing a few players career stats. The only database that I've used that hasn't corrupted is the 2006 release. Is it because MVPEdit's last update was in '06? Do I need to set it to read-only? I'm at a loss on what to do here. Thanks
Jim825
I'm guessing that the latest version of MVPEdit (2006.2) only supports up to Lahman version 5.3 based upon the following comment in the change log in the readme.html file: -Update for Lahman Database 5.3 The format of the database probably changed in version 5.4 (or later) and because of that, MVPEdit can't read it properly. tebjr
I opened up both the 5.3 release from 2006 and the 2010 release, and while the format itself is the same, they added some more tables that I'm sure MVPedit doesn't recognize. I do think it would be possible to make a database that would work with MVPEdit, but it would be time-consuming.
Gordo
Well, what would it take to eliminate what's in the later versions from what's in the earlier recognizable ones? On his site it says: Some third-party applications don’t work with newer versions of the database. For that reason, we’re making some earlier versions available for download. Please be advised that no support exists for these versions. All questions about using the database with third-party applications should be directed to the makers of that software.
