harken Posted January 14, 2012 Share Posted January 14, 2012 Ok, I know my account is new on here, but I've been around this community since MLB2k was relatively current, and I've seen thousands of bad descriptions in mods. That is fine, it happens. But I cannot stand to read one more Portrait mod description without a single WORKING link to the tools required to use it. I just got MLB 2k11 today finally, and every single damn description on mods just says "Portrait decompress tool required" or "download it at mlbmods.com" That's a problem because there is no link on mlbmods.com to this "portrait decompress tool" ANYWHERE. And their forums have been invaded by russian spammers, so good luck scrolling through 100 pages of Russian viagra ads. Seriously, I took the time earlier to post an ACTUAL 100% WORKING link to the TiT tool because I couldn't find a proper link on this site, could someone just pin a damn topic with links to both programs in the 2k11 section? The modders here have done some amazing work and they deserve your respect and appreciation, without them the games would not be nearly as entertaining and fun. mcoll Posted January 14, 2012 Share Posted January 14, 2012 would like to add that a lot sites, including this one, adds are not gentereated by the sites itself, but are gernated by theindivdeual user tyo the pages, so he very will would be getting ads are spifiec to his browsing the interenet, not the sire. that always the case, but it is more comom each day, and is trure for ad spot on this site. ie i might get ads for computer parts sites or gmes i been looking up like the sims series, where joe might ads for gym equiment, so dont blame the site ads so blindly. also the disrtiopn each modder like myself puts together generally is one we think represnets the mod we put together the best each can write, so ther no standared to these wite ups, and as said is volintory around here, and it should be apperited the worke each modders has doen, and effotrt for the write where there is one, has some mods for differnt games dont have any, the distrption are nice to have, its volintery by the modders. Thousands of bad descriptions?? Really? Thousands???? How many mods have you looked at? Threre's no way there are enough MLB2K mods to generate that many bad descriptions. If you want to provide a list of all the bad descriptions, we can see about fixing them, however, so that we only have to make one set of fixes, please post all the bad descriptions in one post.
