aodaniel
I've only played a few exhibition innings so far, but here are a few things I noticed pertaining to in-game experience: Choppiness is still there for me on throws. This is with an updated graphics card. Definitely need some batting and pitching cameras--the defaults just don't cut it after last year's mods. Face textures seem to be much more detailed this year, especially for well known players. Stadiums mods are a must, but probably no surprise there. The new pitch meter is an improvement. Definitely harder to hit exact spots, but not sure how much this affects pitching success and walks. CPU steals seem to occur fairly regularly. Got caught leaning at first and was picked off while trying to take a bigger lead. Not sure if I got picked because I was in the process of taking the lead and my momentum was carrying me away from the bag or if I was just too far from the bag. Not sure how I feel about the batter's eye. I think I like it, but it is also kind of distracting at this point. You just get a quick glimpse of the color so it's kind of hard to mentally scroll through the colors and match color to pitch type before the ball is on top of the plate. This may become more natural though with practice. Definitely more foul balls. Saw several fouls to the left and right straight into the stands and a couple in the dirt near the plate. That's about all I can think of now. If anybody has any questions, I'll be glad to try and answer them.

vinnycast27
i'm really liking the create a ball park feature.... how does this work? do you have to play in owners mode and then select fanatasy side where you get to draft your team and whatevers' left you can spend on your new stadium? or is that complete bollox lol im excited about having my own team and builing its name and worldwide reputation along with its grounds as i continue to play the game....so could some1 explain how it works.. cheers :D
LetsGoOakland
Gagnon39 at the OS Boards is taking impressions questions. Here's a summary (since you have to be a member to see the thread). Major League stats are kept yearly with split stats for traded players (example: Larry Walker has 2004 stats for the Rockies and the Cardinals). These start with the beginning of a player's career. Minor League stats are kept every year but only kept starting with the 2005 season. Owner Mode makes you create a stadium but people have found a way around this. While you still have to create a stadium, you can still play in your original park and save up to play in your finished park (rather than play in it when its only 20,000 capacity). However, to do this, you must select your stadium before each home game (apparently you can pick any stadium it seems). One "glitch" is that people believe your revenue is acrued as if you were playing in your small park (not confirmed as of yet). He believes there's no correlation between the fake minor league players in the game and any real life minor league prospect that has not played in the Majors. Confirmed new locked classic stadiums: Veterans Stadium, Qualcomm Stadium - speculation about a classic Fenway and Three Rivers Stadium. You can definitely draw walks. When he simulated a season, the highest number of strikeouts was very low - like 210 or something and Randy Johnson had about 197Ks. Player progression seemed positively changed. He showed the difference in increase/decrease of pitches/pickoff between Zack Greinke and Jason Jennings (very varied). Computer roster management seems to be fixed. No team is carrying 15 pitchers half-way through season (I think he said he never saw it). There were a bunch of fake players in place of scabs like Damian Miller (believe his name was Roger Chamberlain). Separate stats for A, AA, AAA and ML levels. Drag bunt looks "cool and effective." Roster cutoff roughly 1/12 (someone else posted it but it went uncontested). He played a game where he drew four walks so it is possible (at one point, the pitcher threw 10 straight balls on default All-Star settings). Trajectories of pitches: 1 to 7, 12 to 6, 11 to 5, 10 to 4 and none (they flip for lefties). Create Player very deep with swing tendencies. That's it for so far. He's still fielding questions from just a few people. AIM message me with your questions at LetsGoOakland927. SF

I think that it awesome, think about real baseball, the batter tries to see the release point, angle, grip, and wrist movement and then all of a sudden.....BAM the ball is at the bat. I'm sure after some lengthy playing you will be able to use this feature more effectively. BAseball players didn't just wake up and were able to read pitches, it took lots of practice. Thanks for the quick review.

Gamingboy
Not sure about those 2 but 99% of them are fake Wow, that means there's no Hideo Nomo (who signed with Tampa to minor league contract), no Enrique Wilson (signed with Orioles to minor league contract) and a bunch of other guys. (Although they may be free agents). This is what happens when you rush a game out, I guess.

Gamingboy
Is ebbets field one of the classic stadiums? From what I hear, no. Although hey, it can take a while to get all those MVP points, so there's still a small chance.
