velvet_elvis
With catcher suggestions turned on... is there a way to 'nod him off' and get another pitch suggestion?
RazberyBandit
I don't have 2K12 (yet), but you could select whatever pitches you wanted in previous MLB 2K titles, regardless of catcher suggestion. By definition, catcher suggestion is simply a suggestion, not a commitment to a specific pitch or location. Also, if you selected a pitch but it was the wrong one you wanted to pitch or you changed your mind after selecting it, you could hit "B" (or the corresponding 'Select Pitch' button on controller/keyboard for your 2nd pitch) to go back to the pitch selection screen and select a different one. You were never committed to a specific pitch until you selected it and actually began the pitching motion. The only times I've ever been forced to follow catcher suggestions were in Control & Velocity drills. Crites
So far the catcher has been mediocre for his suggestions in my gameplay. Sometimes he repats the same suggestion 2-3 times for the same exact pitch in the same exact location. Not a good thing. Most times I choose my own pitch and location where I want the ball to go. And that is mainly in the dark or light blue boxes or the uncolored boxes.
lautrec
You can nod the pitcher off simply by choosing a different pitch and location. The pitch calling of the catcher has a lot to do with his ratings. Some are better than others.
