A_Dub
Just seeing if anybody out there that uses a converter and the ps2 controller to see if we have to mod anything in the config or does the game recognize the controller and are the buttons mapped out? Or do we need to use the config like the one for 04? Peace
The H
Nobody has the game yet... so, it's rather difficult to know for sure right now.

I have the Radioshack adapter and had no problems.

five
It still won't navigate menus, you have to use it in conjunction with the mouse.
The H
Mine works like a charm... with the SmartJoy Dual Adapter. The only thing it won't do is navigate the menus, but I could care less about that.
A_Dub
I get get the buttons to map right when I pitch and field. I have tried mapping the buttons my self but when I hit triangle the throw goes to home. And vice versa with the other buttons they go to different bases. I have tried to set them all to different buttons and they still mess up and dont throw the right pitch. My controller is fine its just that the game doesnt want to map them out or something. Maybe I need to edit the registry or something? Any help?

tlef316
some of the mapping was screwed up on mine, but i eventually got it working. the only problems now are that i cant figure out how to use "quick pickoff" or move my batter in the box. also, my right analog is not doing the big play control right for user controller slides and dives. hopefully ill get it right tomorrow
ability
I have gotten most of my buttons to act right. But if someone who has the PS2 set up perfectly want to post there .cfg I'd appreciate it.
The H
I don't know guys... but I didn't need to mess with the mapping at all... all buttons function the exact same way as if you were using the Logitech controller, which is the Champions of champions for this game, according to EA. Maybe is a problem with that specific adapter and its drivers... who knows.

nike23
you have to d/l the drivers from the Radio Shack site. Thanks jpup, ive had those drivers they still do not give me rummble. By chance do you have sp2 installed? It worked before but i believe either sp2 or dx9.0c has broken it as thats the onlything that has changed on my system. I just dont know why force feedback stopped working for me.

UncleMo
Everyone is confusing me. I have a ps2 controller I wanna use. What do I need to do if it is not being recognized? I don't know the name of my adapter. I bought it off of ebay for dirt cheap. I dont' want to have to buy a new controller but I will if I can find one extremely close to the way the PS2 contoller feels and if it is cheap. five
We need the name of the adapter. What does it look like? It doesn't have any markings on it?
iljasTHEillest
The one that I (and the majority of the PS2 controller users, I belive) use the PSX-to-USB Game Adapter with Vibration Driver. http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...4&hp=search
