Strawberry18
I think it back in 2k10, there was a nice dirty ball global.iff mod. Just hoping this comes with the equipment mega pack. Edited March 19, 2012 by Strawberry18
DetroitStyle
Use the mod tool and open the global.iff, find the ball, export the texture, open the 2K12 global.iff, find the ball, import the texture...done 1: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=5474 2: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=4819 3: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=4730 4: http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=4719

Strawberry18
Now I am confused with the mod tool. What about just replacing the global.iff with your download? Edited March 19, 2012 by Strawberry18
DetroitStyle
the globals are incompatible since they are from a different version of the game.

I had to decompress my 2k12 global. Now how do I compress it back? Edited March 19, 2012 by Strawberry18
pena1
Okay I got it. I had to decompress my 2k12 global. Now how do I compress it back? you don't have to, just replace the global.iff in your 2k12 directory.
DetroitStyle
You sure about that pena? Well, either way I guess we'll find out soon enough as straw will be back.... lol
Strawberry18
You sure about that pena? Well, either way I guess we'll find out soon enough as straw will be back.... lol Negitive pena1. My game did not load with the downloaded global.iff. DetroitStyle you're right. Only works by exporting the ball from your iff and importing into 2k12's iff. Looks much better now, thanks.
pena1
hah i was assuming he already imported the dds file into the 2k12 global.... yea you definitely cant use old global files, but you do not have to compress the iff files after you have opened them with the mod tools. Strawberry18
There are two ball textures in the global.iff. I believe #152 is for the playoffs/world series, and #265 is the regular game ball. I found that out the hard way.
blyfactor
alrighty then 152 and 265 are for both Globals
