MrScarface
I think most of u are confusing a jerky camera movement with choppiness. The camera is slow to react to certain quick movements and it gives like a "stutter" effect. I have absolutely no choppiness. Athlon XP 3000+ 1 gig of Ram ATI 9800 Pro xp pro sp/2 abit nforce 2 MB. run at 1024X768 100mhz refresh rate.

Pellaeon11
The problem is simple: The game is stuck on a 60mhz refresh rate. No matter how high your monitor's is, it will default back to 60... with or without vsync. EA needs to patch this ASAP.

Rangers67
I have an Athlon FX-53 cpu, 6800GT, 1 gig ram, Raptor hd, Win XP Pro and have the choppiness. It's just ludicrous. Did the patch for '04 help get rid of the choppiness last year? If so, I will keep '05 and wait for the patch. Hopefully it won't be too long. Still, it irks me that EA doesn't take care of business and ruins our fun.

SteveBoogie
Hey fellas, I realize this is a 25 year old thread but my problem exists and I'd really appreciate some help. My stuttering is typically limited to ALL infield throws and it's pretty bad. The game's certainly playable but if it can be fixed then I say why not, right? I'm using the no-cd patch because frankly it's necessary (wink-wink), Ultimate Rosters 8.2, applied all 5 patches immediately after installation, before patching the executable. Also using the high-res uniforms....problem existed before the constant defrag.... -Athlon 64 3500+, 2.2 gHz -1GB RAM -Constant O&O defrag in the background -ATI Radeon x1300 256MB PCI Express -AA set to "Let Application Control It" -AF set the same with the High Quality AF box checked -Catalyst AI set to "Standard -Mipmap Detail Level @ "High Quality" -Adaptive AA set to Performance -"Wait for Vertical Refresh" set to always on -1024x768 As others have noted, I have no problems with every other game, have all the 2007 EA's, HL2, F.E.A.R., Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory....no "hogs" of any sort running in the background. Many thanks in advance!

Many thanks in advance! Using the no-cd defeats the purpose of the patches as you are using the 1.0 cracked exe file rather than the changed patch #5 exe file from the EA patches or MVP O7 mod. I have noticed some of the datafiles can cause more of a stutter in the infield so it is better to try the default MVP 07 datafile.big that came with the 07 mod if you are using that version of the game. Also maybe try the 1x uniforms and see if that helps.
Ticaliano
Are you sure about that? I could be dead wrong here, but as far as I know, I really don't believe the replacement of a single executable file would have a negative impact on a computer game's performance. I have been using No-CD executables for a very, very long time, and I have never seen performance issues arise as a result of doing so.
SteveBoogie
Yeah one thing I can attest to is that there have been installs for me where the stuttering went away after a certain patch, followed by the no-cd executable as I have it now. Don't remember which patch it was and that blows but it did in fact work. Is it better to install just 1 or 2 patches in particular rather than all 5?
