I have a 2200+ geforce ti4200 512 mb ram takes 10 minutes for the game to start any suggestions? jpup Posted February 24, 2005 Share Posted February 24, 2005 defrag has nothing to do with defragging. i defrag my pc every week and just did it last night to get ready for this game. it's likely the cap on the frame rate, imo. tabarnes19 Posted February 24, 2005 Author Share Posted February 24, 2005 Ok after formatting my harddrive and reinstalling everything I finally found the cuase of all my problems why the game was so choppy and would not even start. I wish I would have thought of this before all of that work...so simple it hurt. I had a Thrustmaster dual power controller plugged in...obviously the game does not like that when I unplugged it game works flawlessly. Joysticks and gamepads use interrupts on a computer. If they are in conflict with other interrupts or using the same interrupt as another device in your computer, your computer can have problems.
