DonSPa
File Name: Rangers/Senators Retro File Submitter: DonSPa File Submitted: 09 Apr 2012 File Category: Uniforms and Accessories There are 2 folders One for those that have Tys roster editor and one for those that dont. There are 3 methods to installing. Tys Editor Instructions U can install these into the main mlb 2k12 folder and they will not overwrite any file. Open Tys editor and import the info from the text file included. These unis will have the correct color codes Normal Install instructions WARNING BACK UP ORIGINAL FILES as these will overwrite the originals.Unzip into the main mlb2k12 folder.Start game these will NOT have the correct color codes because of the way 2k does their files Generic Mod Enabler(use the files in the normal install) This is the best way for those who dont have tys editor and dont want to over write the originals. Download from http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products-jsgme.html and follow thier directions.Once installed there should be a folder called *MODS* Inside this folder u can create another folder. For example if u just want national league modded unis name a folder NATIONAL LEAGUE and place my unzipped uni files inside this folder.Start the enabler and choose the folder that has the mods then start the game and the unis should be available. If u want to revert back to the originals then just shut down the enabler again these will not have the correct color codes After decades of losing teams and falling attendance Calvin Griffith had enough and obtained permission from the league to transfer his team to Minnesota for the 1961 season. But not all was lost for fans in Washington D.C as they were awarded and expansion team immediatly the same season. The departed club left the nickname SENATORS behind for continuity's sake. The new senators team was reluctant to use the red white and blue as trim colors from the former team. The "W" on the blue caps was now red with white outline. The name "senators" was displayed on the home pinstripes in an arc and fancy red capital letters. In 1963 the caps were totally redesigned with a script "W" and red piping on the crown seams. The slanted script version of Senators was revived from the 1960 uni. The Senators played thier last game at RFK Stadium in 1971 as the team was to move to Arlington Texas for the 1972 season. With double knit uniform fabrics now the norm, the rangers became the first ML team to to have never used the old flannel fabrics. The nickname "Rangers" was a natural =derived from a historic tradition unique to the Lone Star State. The lettering style of the Rangers would appear on both home and road and would be reminiscent of the old west accented with a shadow effect. The team colors were to be red white and blue which was allready over used by other clubs but certaintly "all american" and all "Texan" and was not criticized or rediculed. The unis utilized the new built in wasteband but stayed with the traditional buttons on the jersey fronts.Blue was the primary trim color, caps undershirts and socks were solid blue.A white T edged in red was displayed on both home and road caps.Red white and blue striping was used on the wasteband and down the trouser legs,on the sleeve ends and collar.
