palooka1 Posted May 26, 2012 Share Posted May 26, 2012 Hey everybody, Recently I opened a forum about how to change my initial splash screen and many of you guys have been super helpful. I got some advice to just use a bitmap of my liking and size and simply rename it 00000000.256. I tried it and it failed becaise it retained the .bmp file extension. So, a friend on our forum told me to turn off extensions in windows explorer but I don't have the faintest idea of how to do that. Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thank you Dennis, Yankke4life and other who have helped me with their expertice so far. Lend a hand, ifyou will and I'll be greatful. dennisjames71 Posted May 27, 2012 Share Posted May 27, 2012 Hey palooka, From your Windows Explorer window: -Click ‘TOOLS’ -Click ‘Folder Options’ -Click the ‘View” tab and deselect “Hide extensions for known file types”. -This will let you change the .BMP extension to “.256” and place the file in your main game directory.
