mac70hr
Hey Guys, I played most of my games in franchise mode but if I sim a game or two,, the starting pitcher is always pulled by the COMPUTER in the 4th inning...even if pitching a 3 hit shutout. So I did a test.....I started a sim franc, and simmed half a season. all the league leaders in wins were relief pitchers. Any suggestions on a setting change? Thanks in advance. New to PC bseball games. Mac 70hr
DetroitStyle
This was a huge issue last year. The sim engine is completely off with pitchers as they don't nearly pitch enough innings (due to them being pulled like you noted). This leads to relievers getting a TON of innings and thus getting more wins and such.
scottybilly
Yeah. The computer will either pull starting pitchers far too early or leave them in too long when theyre being shelled. On the other hand, I was playing a franchise game with my Giants. I was starting Matt Cain and he had a perfect game through 11 innings while Shaun Marcum of the Brewers was tossing a no-hitter against me through 11 innings. Both pitchers had low pitch counts. Maybe the computers starting pitchers are being pulled early because you have the pitcher fatigue level set far too high? just a guess... NewYork
That's sad because that is such a fundamental thing in major league baseball. Who the hell programmed the manager AI in this game ??
stcardinal
I see pitchers getting pulled when I ring them up for 4-5 runs an inning. I think that's pretty normal in real life if a pitcher is struggling that badly.
