createbaseball
isnt the best part of Spring Training seeing the new prospects get a shot at playing along side big leaguers and monitoring their progress?? We cant see anyone from the minor leagues in the games....and the rosters stay at 25 instead of 40. I was really hoping to see this in the game. let down... does anyone know what the "positional ranking" thing is or does?
DarkEnigma510
I think the positional ranking is there so you can determine your own player depth at each position. This will ensure that the number two rated catcher takes over from catcher number one if catcher one is injured/suspected. The idea here, I think, is you could pick a weaker player to be player number 2 f you wanted to give a prospect a chance to play. Othwerwise, the computer may automatically adjust your lineup according to who has the highest rankings rather than what order you want to have in place.
