Controller question (Saitek P880 with MVP2005)

I have a Saitek P880 controller that I bought last year for MVP2004. I really liked it and plan to use it again for MVP2005 once it arrives.

Last year the slide/ big play controls for the Saitek controller were not correct. Instead of holding the right stick up / down for headfirst / feetfirst slides and left/right for slides to the left/right of the bag, these settings were reversed.

You had to make a small edit to the controller.cfg file to make these settings correct.

Can anyone who has a Saitek controller confirm whether this has been fixed in MVP2005 or whether the controller.cfg edit is required again?

Where can I locate that file?

First go into game options and save the controller config.

Then go to *My DocumentsMVP Baseball 2005 and open up controller.cfg in notepad.

That is the wrong file location on my PC (XP). On mine it is located in the:

C:Documents and SettingsDrew (My Name)My DocumentsMVP Baseball 2005

That is the correct file location.

Um, the * means that it's a wildcard, you posted the same thing that I posted.

It's in the MVP 2005 folder in your My Documents.

It could also be: %userprofile%My DocumentsMVP Baseball 2005

That one is universal, it works for everyone.

In the game save a CONTROLLER CFG. It does not matter for what controller.

Then copy and Paste the following into your CONTROLLER.CFG file in the MY DOCUMENTS/ MVP BASEBALL 2005 folder. Delete all other text. You should then have full function of both the P880 and P2500 Saitek game controllers in the game. I used WORD to work this file.

I swapped these out and now I can throw a 4 seam Fastball for a strike, even if I aim right down the middle. What gives?

*Edit* nevermind, got it working. I copied the whole list instead of just the 1 earlier posted.
