Keyboards Controls For 2K12

Hi, I recently got 2k12 for PC - the thing is, I don't have a controller. I'll probably get one in the future, but for now I'm only using my keyboard. Can anybody give me some tips? There are a few things that I can't seem to figure out for the keyboard, despite what the game says the keys correspond to. For example, it's hard enough to circle the bases, but I can usually manage that fine - until I get to third base, and I can't for the life of me go home, trying all the keys that the game says should work. I can't steal either. Throwing to the bases is a similar issue - when I was playing 3rd in my player mode, I couldn't throw to second. Sometimes I think I know what pitch I'm throwing, but I'm mistaken. Does anybody else play 2k12 with a keyboard, and could they give me some advice? Thanks!
