scottybilly
Quite impressive debut for him. Not quite as impressive as Will Clark's 1st MLB at-bat on the very first pitch homering to dead centerfield at the Astrodome off Nolan Ryan. I still dont know why Ryan didnt pitch him inside under the chin for the first pitch, then get him swinging on breaking balls on the outside corner... DonSPa
lol detroit even the pirates announcers said when he made his first out that he could have only went downward
sabugo
Thing are looking up for the Pirates this season. Even AJ Burnett has played well. Which to me, as a Yankee's fan is both sad and depressing. Maybe his pitching style just wasn't suited for the Yankee Stadium afterall...
laroquece
I have my fingers crossed hoping to see the Pirates go to postseason...
DonSPa
as long as they win over 80 games it will be great, sabugo some guys just dont fit with certain teams and moral. The yankees fans are so used to winning and the moment a player doesnt perform how they think he should they will be the first to let that player know. Then the player starts to try too hard and the pressure gets too much.Where as with Pittsburgh after 20 years of disappointment if he had come here and didnt do well then we would have viewed it as another bad aquisition so he in the back of his mind probally knew he could relax and just play his way
sabugo
I'm aware of that, and glad that you guys put him to better use than we did.
