The lefty glitch has been destroyed

I just played a White Sox @ Cubs game on the default difficulty setting (pro?) and hit 4 homers with A.J. Pierzynski (3 off of Prior and 1 off of Borowski). I just kept aiming up and right on the left stick and pounded them out.

it was for the most part gone but there were still a few lefties in the game like Delgado, that could almost never hit homeruns. Glad to see that this year's game seems to have fixed that completely.

Last year, I traded for Griffey and could NEVER hit a home-run with him, his swing just seemed to be kinda slow. Does anyone know if Griffey's swing is fixed this year? I'll trade for him again when I get the game this year...

I just played a game as the Reds @ Cubs and I jacked one out of the park 454 feet with Griffey off of Prior. I used the same trick of holding up and right on the left analog stick. It seems pretty easy to me to pull homers to right field with lefties. I have a much harder time trying to pull homers to left field with righties. :?

Any lefty is generally more of a pull-hitter than a righty.

Tell that to Carlos Lee. That's all he tries to do.

He also celebrates anything that's even CLOSE to being a home-run, and then gets thrown out at second because he was strutting to first...what a show-off fool...

At least when A-Rod does that, he's fast enough to make it to 2B easily, or in a couple of cases, 3B...

Agreed. Trust me, I don't miss him. I'm happy to have Scott Podsednik, Luis Vizcaino, and the guys we signed with the money we saved by dumping Carlos Lee.

Scott Podsednik, Luis Vizcaino, El Duque, A.J. Pierzynski, and Tadahito Iguchi > Carlos Lee

Podsednik can't get on base for his life, but every time he does, he steals a base. Seriously, last year he was almost a history-maker. He had one of the lowest On-Base Percentages for a 70-Steal player. He had a .313 OBP and had 70 steals. How this happened, I have no idea.

If Pods can split the difference of his 2003 season and his 2004 season as far as AVG and OBP, he should be just fine. Don't forget that Tony Womack had a career year last season. Womack's career AVG is .274 and his career OBP is .319 and he's 35 years old.

Womack will be our #9 hitter...

But seriously, Podsednik is such a enigma. You gotta keep an eye out for him. He'll be on second before you can blink, that is, if he gets to first. He's one fast player...

Even moreso than is speed is his base-stealing skill. He just knows how to take leads and when to run. We have a guy on our team by the name of Willie Harris who is super-fast but doesn't know how to steal a base. We signed Tadahito Iguchi to replace him. Maybe Pods can teach Willie how to steal. I won't keep my hopes up though.

In MVP Baseball 2004 i can hit HR's with Delgado. Maybe not to RF but i did hit them to CF and LF.

Oh, Delgado was a monster on my team. Anything inside was crushed minimum 400 Ft. Never more than 459 Ft., but always a long lefty shot.
