dlang1
Trying to start a 2013 with the new roster and schedule... All is fine, except I'm playing the Brewers, and they just signed Lohse. I want to pick him up as Free Agent but the game wont let me because I do not have the money to spend.... Is there a way to adjust that spending cap or turn it off all together???? Thanks
mcoll
adject the saleries of your current players until you have enough to offer the right amount for him. that be the only way i know of. the cap is hard coded if i remember right
furball
You can't adjust your spending cap directly. What that is, is the money you have available. What you CAN do is cheat. You can go into the GM mode and adjust a player's salary. For example, if you have a guy that is scheduled to earn $10 million for 3 years, you can dellete two of those years, then set his salary to ONE million, then add 2 more years at ONE million. The program wil then automatically recalculate your money available.
mcoll
techincally that cheating, but given the way baseball hard cap works and lack ot soft cap by the game to even allow much room over the cap, this about the only way to have the roster right with the players on each team. for exsample until now, the yankess have spent money in the past without regard to the cap, paying the taxes each year, now there reducingmney, to be cin the cap requirements, which we could never do with the games as is, so this way ismakes roster closer to what they should be gvien the game limits. fatcowxlive
If you want to start from a fresh franchise, you can set a player's (or many player's) salaries to like 30 million in a year, start the franchise, and in the franchise edit the salaries back to their normal amounts. You would have that extra money added to your budget.
