it doesn't actually rain during the game. it will just say that your game has been rained out when you click on play/sim before the game. in my reds franchise, it rained out game 1 and game 2. i had to play 4 games in 2 days, if i remember correctly.

I had actual rain from the start of the game-it was in Baltimore in the 1st series of the year (vs Red Sox). Unfortunately I didn't get to finish that game (2 innings) to see if it continued or was called.

Anyway, it had a similar to Madden '04 look visually.

I've never seen rain in a game, but I have seen games rained out and re-scheduled for a later day, sometimes even a double header.....pretty cool

I don't think they programmed it to rain during a game at all, but from what I've read, they are looking into it for MVP 2005 and having rainouts and delays in the middle of games.

I like realism in my sports games and wanted to know how the rainout feature works. Does it start raining while a game is in progress and it gets cancelled or postponed? Or does it tell you that it is raining before the game? --Erick

Rainouts are randomly determined – you will never start a game and then have it be rained out. However, this is something we are exploring for MVP 2005.

i have never seen rain only rainouts like spitoon said. It would be really cool if they can put it in in 2005 and make rainouts in the middle of the game. I like my games realistic (with the exception of slugfest thats fun to play once in a while) amd there should be rain God made it so let it be in the game. I dont think God made rain just so we can survive it was ment for video games too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
